ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sales Operations Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the sales team by analyzing sales data, improving processes, and providing insights to drive business decisions. You will play a critical role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our sales operations and will work closely with the sales leadership and other departments to ensure alignment and execution of business objectives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Sales Data Analysis:
- Collect, analyze, and report on sales performance data, KPIs, and other relevant metrics.
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights to help drive sales strategies and improve decision-making.
- Develop and maintain regular sales reports and dashboards for leadership and sales teams.
- Support the tracking and forecasting of sales pipeline, quotas, and revenue performance.
Process Optimization:
- Analyze current sales processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and refine sales tools, systems, and workflows.
- Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the sales process and implement solutions to streamline operations.
Sales Forecasting & Planning:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of sales forecasts, territory plans, and resource allocation.
- Support the creation and tracking of sales targets, quotas, and compensation plans.
- Work with sales leadership to ensure sales planning aligns with business objectives and market trends.
CRM Management & Data Integrity:
- Ensure that the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is up to date, accurate, and optimized for sales activities.
- Support the sales team in utilizing the CRM to manage opportunities, pipeline, and customer data effectively.
- Conduct periodic audits of sales data to ensure data integrity and accuracy across all systems.
Sales Enablement & Support:
- Work closely with the sales team to provide tools, resources, and analytics that drive sales performance.
- Assist in creating and maintaining sales training materials, documentation, and other resources.
- Coordinate sales meetings, track action items, and ensure follow-up on key deliverables.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, finance, operations and PMs, to ensure smooth alignment of sales processes and goals.
- Provide recommendations to sales leadership based on performance analysis, competitive insights, and industry best practices.
Special Projects:
- Lead or assist with ad hoc sales operations projects, such as territory alignment, sales incentive programs, order entry or CRM system enhancements.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, providing insights into sales leadership.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 2-4 years of experience in sales operations, sales analysis, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level required), MS Teams. MS suite and experience with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
- Familiarity with sales performance metrics, pipeline management, and forecasting.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with reporting tools and data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
NICE TO HAVE
- Previous experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
- Experience with sales compensation management or incentive programs.
- Background in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
