ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
Our Senior Engineers play an essential role in the process of understanding customer needs, translating them into requirements, leading technical teams, and applying systems engineer principles in our agile global organization.
As part of Ingenico’s SoftPOS & Mobility Solutions team, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality deliverables by analyzing customer specifications, developing, and leading team members. Ensure all quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, analyzed, documented, tracked, and resolved before product released. Adhere to and continue to improve quality processes. Follow and promote standardized test practices. Work closely with other QA engineers, analysts, developers, sales engineers, and customer support.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Analyze product requirements, customer specifications, and technical design documents.
- Familiar with the products and software under test. Understand testing effort by analyzing project requirements.
- Generate test cases (Smoke, Functional, System, Regression) based on requirements and specifications. Update test cases based on defects.
- Prepare or create necessary test data required for testing. Set up required test beds (hardware, software, and network).
- Execute assigned test cases on time. Ensure timely delivery of different testing milestones.
- Report test results, provide test logs, work progress, and any problems faced to leader.
- Execute customer test scripts and obtain customer certification.
- Duplicate customer issues. Identify, analyze, record, document thoroughly and track defects.
- Gather and document all information to assist development quickly providing resolution. Validate solution and regression testing before customer release.
- Work with internal and external customers to gather technical requirements
- Participate in cross-functional team efforts in integration, verification, and validation for products of moderate complexity.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Proven working experience in software quality assurance. Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, processes, and documentation.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle and various development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile).
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Analytical capabilities and resourceful.
- Experience with JIRA for bug tracking or another industry accepted bug tracking tool.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced English proficiency.
- Familiarity working in a global environment a plus.
- Strong sense of self-motivation, organization, and attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of EMV processing in the card payment industry.
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in engineering, computer science, or information systems.
- 7-10 years of related business experience.
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience in software testing.
- Agile development experience.
