This role is intended for a senior, high-impact individual contributor who is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, technical depth, and ownership. As a Senior AI / Data Scientist, you will be accountable for shaping and delivering AI-driven capabilities that directly support Ingenico’s payments and fintech platforms.
You will remain hands-on across the full ML lifecycle while also influencing architectural decisions, technical standards, and prioritization. The expectation is that you act as a trusted partner to engineering, product, and leadership, helping translate business needs into scalable, secure, and production-ready AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive complex AI and advanced analytics initiatives
- Design and implement ML / AI solutions that operate at scale in high-throughput, low-latency, and regulated environments.
- Act as a technical authority for predictive analytics, ML modeling, and data-driven decisioning.
- Partner closely with Global Head; Retail Go-to-Market to define and evolve core Data Engines supporting enterprise analytics and AI use cases.
- Ensure AI solutions are designed for production from day one, including robustness, monitoring, explainability, and lifecycle management.
- Contribute to and influence enterprise AI architecture, including data platforms, augmented search, and ML service patterns.
- Collaborate with platform, cloud, security, and compliance teams to meet enterprise standards and regulatory requirements.
- Proactively identify opportunities where AI and advanced analytics can create measurable business value
- Provide technical mentorship and raise the overall bar for AI and data practices within the organization
Technical & Professional Requirements
Required Experience
- Years of relevant experience in data science, machine learning, or applied AI, with a strong track record of production deployments.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex ML initiatives end to end.
- Deep understanding of predictive modeling, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
- Strong software engineering foundations and experience working within SDLC-governed environments.
- Hands-on experience with microservices and API-based system design.
- Solid experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience working with large-scale, high-volume datasets, preferably in payments, fintech, or other regulated industries.
- Understanding non-functional requirements such as security, data privacy, resiliency, and observability.
- Experience collaborating across large, matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience designing scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms.
- Practical exposure to MLOps and DataOps practices, including CI/CD, monitoring, and governance.
- Ability to balance research, experimentation, and delivery under real-world constraints.

Education & Background (Preferred)
- Degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline is a strong plus.
- Background combining software engineering and data science is highly valued, particularly in enterprise or fintech environments.
