Join Intuit's innovative Futures organization as a Software Development Group Manager in our cutting-edge Israel team! Our mission is to lead the industry in solving the most pressing financial challenges faced by small business owners and consumers, empowering them to prosper. The Futures team is dedicated to incubating emerging technologies, user experiences, capabilities, and products that hold the potential to transform the lives of Intuit's small businesses and customers.

We are currently seeking a Senior Development Manager to join our dynamic, intrapreneurial team. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and launching the next generation of customer experiences for Intuit's flagship products and technology platform. This is a unique opportunity to become a part of a multidisciplinary team of designers, engineers, data scientists, researchers, and analysts, all working together to create game-changing experiences for Intuit.

Qualifications

Strong educational background with a BSc/MSc in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years of experience in hands-on software development roles across various technology areas, including (but not limited to) front-end development, back-end development, data, and AI
5+ years of experience as an established technical leader of software engineering teams that have successfully delivered customer-driven software products, or core reusable technology components. Preferred tech stack: AWS, Java, React
Ability to lead a diverse cross-functional and multi-disciplinary group
Extensive experience leading development in a fast-paced technical environment and delivering production-grade solutions for customers.
Demonstrated experience in mentoring engineers and playing a pivotal role in revolutionizing front-line engineering by showcasing the potential of technology
Capable of contributing to business strategy, product strategy, high-level technical design, and detailed implementation
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, and experience working in a global development organization, especially with the US
Ability to engage with all organizational levels and influence strategic decision-making
Proven track record of innovation and influence, providing unique and effective solutions to complex software engineering problems
Demonstrated entrepreneurial mindset in ideation and implementation

Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will help define and drive the technical direction for the Futures Israel team. The ideal candidate will be a versatile, multidisciplinary leader who can guide our team across back-end, front-end, data, and AI domains, enabling us to move quickly and understand the potential benefits of new technologies for our customers.

Coach junior and senior engineers to help define their career path through challenging growth
Build an engineering culture, practices, and supporting tooling that engineers love, enabling them to deliver the best, most innovative work of their lives at high velocity.
Become an expert in our customers and their problems and how we might impact them through new and emerging technologies.
Become an expert in the capability portfolio developed in Israel and establish a strong connection with the product and development leads.
Drive the next generation of our portfolio of services and experiences in partnership with product and technology leaders in Israel and across the organization
Collaborate with cross-functional product and design leads to prioritize work, identify opportunities for acceleration and innovation, and propose options when challenged by constraints.
