Job Overview

Intuit’s Small Business and Self-Employed Group (SBSEG) Finance team drives business growth and profitability through strategic, financial, and operational leadership within the QuickBooks business segment. Our team is composed of finance, data, and strategy professionals who support and enhance Intuit's operating effectiveness, and we’re looking for a Lead Analyst to join the team to expand our business intelligence capabilities. We work in a highly collaborative environment providing financial leadership through planning, insights, and analysis across all functions – Marketing, Product, Customer Care, for example – while working closely with other finance and accounting teams. In this role the lead analyst will be responsible for data consolidation and process efficiency for SBSEG Finance’s Strategic Planning team, partnering across SBSEG and Intuit’s Corporate Finance organizations to ensure the accuracy and scalability of our data.

You are a financial analyst with strong analytical and business intelligence skills. You have demonstrable experience coordinating data consolidation processes, summarizing and visualizing data for Finance and non-Finance audiences. You’ve demonstrated a strong grasp of business context and use that context to drive data process improvements and inform how data is used to enable leadership decision making. As this role involves constant interaction with stakeholders across the Intuit Finance organization, you need the confidence and emotional intelligence to effectively communicate at all levels while understanding the priorities of partner organizations. The ideal candidate has worked in the tech industry and enjoys operating in an extremely fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

4 - 8 years of experience within FP&A or analytics functions, or the equivalent tenure from positions in corporate finance, management consulting or investment banking.
Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel to analyze and manage complex data sets with a strong orientation for detail and an ability to validate the accuracy of their work. SQL and Tableau experience preferred.
Highly motivated, self-starting, critical thinker with the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment, simultaneously manage several priorities, and challenge the status quo to lead change and operational improvements
A critical thinker who possesses a strong curiosity about the business to understand and resolve the root causes of a problem and to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes
Strong working knowledge of financial modeling, SaaS revenue modeling, and other financial concepts
A robust track record of creating and/or managing business intelligence and data visualization processes
Ability to influence all levels of leadership to drive actions, behaviors, decisions and business outcomes
Grace under pressure with a good sense of humor and dose of humility
Strong written and oral communication skills with experience in presenting to business partners with confidence, conviction, and credibility
BS/BA in Finance, Data Science, Business, or Economics preferred

Responsibilities

Process improvement: Drive efficiencies and continuous improvement by streamlining, standardizing, and automating processes and reporting requirements while ensuring data accuracy. Work closely with financial analyst partners to help enhance, automate and expand forecast capabilities to improve accuracy, standardization, and confidence in our business trajectory.
Operational Excellence: Partner with Corporate Finance, SBSEG Finance, and Analytics teams to develop and monitor key performance indicators to drive insights and decision making to achieve our strategic and financial goals.
Strategic planning: Be a trusted advisor to the leadership team to develop and refine our 1- and 3-year strategic plans, proactively highlighting risks and opportunities related to business growth and drive optimal investment decisions through data-driven insights and business knowledge.
Financial reporting and modeling: Prepare financial reporting deliverables (month-end close package, variance explanation, etc) to enable transparency into the business’s performance and drivers. Update key financial models and create new models from scratch to analyze business trends.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $146,500 - 198,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits).
