Job Overview
Come join the Quickbooks Marketing Data Analytics team as a Staff Business Data Scientist for our web acquisition channel. You will be joining a highly motivated team that is responsible for bringing new customers to the Quickbooks ecosystem of products and driving key decisions through data backed insights. As the web channel expert, you will develop a deeper understanding of the desktop and mobile conversion funnels, help identify areas of opportunity through deep dives on traffic, audience and conversion patterns through statistical analysis, and optimize the website for potential and existing Quickbooks customers. You will be instrumental in actively providing recommendations through insight generation and ensure we make effective, well informed decisions for the company.
Responsibilities
- Analyze website performance at both visitor and session level using clickstream data by anchoring to key web metrics and identify user behavior through engagement and pathing analysis
- Perform deep dive analysis on various aspects of desktop and mobile web to discover pain points & drive opportunity identification to unlock web optimization and experimentation efforts to drive growth in customer acquisition
- Lead the construction of web funnel reporting and data narratives to senior leaders to power strategic web marketing decision
- Build customer segmentation and predictive lookalike models that inform traffic acquisition strategies and optimize for business outcomes
- Own and improve the core set of dashboards for web funnel to unlock speed of insights across the analytics and marketing organization
- Drive improvements to web analytics instrumentation and data architecture to unlock new metrics and insights, as well as improving the durability of data pipelines and data signals
- Work closely with our business performance analytics, web marketing, and web/product analytics teams to understand and quantity web drivers of ongoing Quickbooks customer acquisition
- Conduct regular ad-hoc analyses to provide leadership with actionable insights at tactical and strategic levels
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience using analytics to solve marketing/product business problems through deep dives and statistical analysis
- 5+ years of experience in web analytics, analyzing website traffic patterns and conversion funnels
- 7+ years of experience in coding (e.g. SQL, R, Python) and constructing data pipelines and ETL utilizing SQL and Python, as well as data solutions from cloud platforms
- Comfortable manipulating and analyzing large complex datasets (e.g. clickstream data) and working on big data technologies and databases
- 5+ years of experience creating data visualization using Tableau
- 3+ years of experience in advanced statistical analysis including causal analysis, experimentation, test design and marketing attribution
- 3+ years of experience working in enterprise web analytics platforms like Adobe Analytics, Google analytics or amplitude
- Deep understanding of AI/ML models (predictive analytics) and personalization applications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or equivalent work experience, advanced degree preferred
- Strong data storytelling skills, with a proven ability to rapidly construct impactful visualization, communicate insights and influencing leadership teams
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM related field or equivalent work experience, MS degree preferred
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $152,500-206,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits).
