Job Overview
Come join the "GenOS Team" as a "Senior Software Engineer”. Intuit’s GenOS empowers Intuit technologists to design, build and deploy breakthrough generative AI (GenAI) experiences with unparalleled speed. The company is fueling rapid innovation at scale across its products and services to solve its customers’ most important financial problems and drive durable growth.
Responsibilities
- Gathering functional requirements, developing technical specifications, and project & test planning
- Ability to work with minimum guidance and thrive in a fast moving AI landscape
- Designing/developing web, software, prototypes, or proofs of concepts (POC’s)
- Act in a technical leadership capacity: Mentoring junior engineers, new team members, and applying technical expertise to challenging programming and design problems
- Roughly 70-85% hands-on coding
- Be on call rotation for US hours
- Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
- Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams: product management, QA/QE, various product lines, or business units to drive forward results
- Contribute to the design and architecture of the project
- Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies
Qualifications
- 6+ years experience developing web, software, or mobile applications.
- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- Strong experience with any cloud vendors like AWS , GCP , Azure
- Strong experience with any of the following Languages: Python, Java
- Experience with the entire ML Development Life Cycle (MDLC)
- 5+ years experience with web services (consuming or creating) with REST or SOAP.
- Solid communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong understanding of the Software design/architecture process.
- Experience with unit testing
Preferred Experience:
- Strong Experience in Python developing, maintaining, and innovating large scale applications.
- Experience with the ML tools like LangChain, FastAPI
- Experience with the development challenges inherent with highly scalable and available web applications.
- Basic Experience with generative AI, LLM operations, AI assistant, prompt engineering, embeddings, AI background, machine learning.
- Experience with Cloud/SaaS, big data, or analytics.
- Always Be Learning: Experience with open source technologies, prototyping and/or researching the up and coming technology and solutions.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $136,000-184,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
