This role will focus on converting our high growth credit policies into a reality. You will partner closely across many sectors of the organization to make this happen: product, credit strategies, engineering, operations and underwriting, etc. Your work also includes designing and architecting the future stage of our decision engine to empower the business growth. All of those affect the touchpoints with our customers to continue offering a highly sought after lending product on our platform. Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the underwriting policy implementation team for all our policy releases and quality controls with hands on decision engine coding.
- Build ownership and leadership by working collaboratively with business partners (product development, product management, marketing, data engineering, data science, compliance, underwriting team etc.) to design new products together to meet our customers’ financial needs.
- Coordinate all credit policy related planning and resources with cross-functional teams including credit strategy, engineering, data engineering, product management, data scientist, underwriting, etc.
- Use your technical and business expertise to partner with credit strategists designing new lending offers, automated underwriting strategies and drive more efficient experiences for our customers.
- Stay up to date with the latest innovation in techniques and platform solutions to enhance our speed to deployment. Plan and design together with data scientists and data engineers on our data architecture, pipeline and features.
- Be a passionate thought leader to ensure all business needs are met and work is shipped with faultless outcomes.
Qualifications
- MS/PhD in related fields such as Statistics, Operational Research, Industry Engineering, Computer Science etc with 4+ years work experience. Or bachelor’s degree in same fields with 8+ years equivalent practical experience
- Experience or knowledge of the following decision platforms is beneficial but not required: Camunda, Provenir, FICO Blaze, Powercurve, SAS RTDM, Zoot, Drools, OpenCPU
- Have a track record of related work experience in data exploration and data pipeline development work under defined business scope and large-scale transactional datasets
- Proficient in data query, data processing and analytics tools (i.e. SQL/Hive/Hadoop/R/Python/Spark)
- Have lending industry or risk management experience
- Familiarity with the concepts of business process modeling notation (BPMN) or decision model notation (DMN) is advantageous
- Familiar with engineering fundamentals: version control systems (i.e. Git, Github) and workflows, and ability to write production-ready code
- Detail oriented and with great vision on how to develop data-driven products
- Excellent communication skills and ability to learn fast, and confidence in taking ownership
- Able to work in a fast-paced working environment
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $164,000 - 221,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits).
