Job Overview
As a Staff Software Engineer in the Infrastructure Engineering team, you will be responsible for developing automation solutions to improve operational excellence across Unified Communications, Endpoint Engineering, and Network Engineering. Your focus will be on creating tools and systems that enhance monitoring, reduce incident response times, and improve the overall employee experience.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable observability components to detect issues quickly and isolate problems, supporting fast recovery across communication systems, endpoints, and network infrastructure.
- Develop automation for operational insights and analytics, gathering and correlating data from infrastructure, deployments, incidents, and change activities.
- Create tools to improve Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR) for critical infrastructure issues.
- Build systems to support informed decision-making in infrastructure management.
- Enhance employee experience through innovative automation solutions for Unified Communications, Endpoint Engineering, and Network Engineering.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot build, deployment, and infrastructure issues across multiple domains.
- Automate day-to-day operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions across different infrastructure areas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on infrastructure automation
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Go
- Experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools (e.g.,Splunk, Wavefront, ELK)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible
- Familiarity with Unified Communications systems, endpoint management tools, and network infrastructure is a plus.
