Job Overview
Intuit Assist for QuickBooks delivers digital expertise and assistance to Small Businesses through the use of Generative AI technologies to help with their daily accounting work. By anticipating future customer needs, business trends, and understanding external technology, our multi-disciplinary team propels the next generation of customer experiences.
We’re looking for a Senior Designer to imagine, create, and test new Generative AI concepts and interaction models that can solve small business accounting problems. We are looking for design hackers, pragmatists, and unconventional thinkers to bridge the gap between conceptual design, emerging technologies and platform capabilities. You should be a maker and not afraid to take on complex challenges that lead to paradigm shifting ideas. You thrive in ambiguity and are a creative systems thinker. You’ll be part of a design team dedicated to proving and creating game changing user experiences that will help power prosperity for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Solve customer problems by synthesizing behavioral information and imagining things as they might be, not as they are
- Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences that optimize among user needs, business goals, and technological realities across web and mobile platforms
- Take ideas and concepts, and visualize them in such that they are communicated effectively and compellingly for internal leaders, partners, and customers
- Turn visions into concepts and translate those concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity, despite complexity of the system
- Conceptualize a broad spectrum of ideas and then narrow based on experimentation and customer research
- Directly responsible for delivering User Experience visions, UI specifications, wireframes, and prototypes
- Collaborate effectively with other designers, content strategists, product managers, engineers, and researchers
- Solicit feedback and contribute constructively to design reviews
- Advance a strong point of view, backed up by personal expertise, design rationale, customer data, and industry trends
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $148500-201000, Southern California $136000-184000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in interaction or product design for high-profile or award-winning products; preferably experience with SaaS and mobile products
- Four-year degree in Human Computer Interaction, graphic design, or other relevant field
- Graduate degree a plus
- Strong knowledge of design principles and methods, research methodologies, prototyping and rapid experimentations to quantify product and user behavioral insights
- Applying user-centered design processes while working collaboratively with customers and cross-functional teams
- Ability to convey ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping
- Mastery of design and prototyping tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite plus the ability to work within a design system
- A well-presented online portfolio demonstrating your strong craft and collaborative process
