Job Overview
Come join the Applied Security Research team as a Research Engineer. You will be joining a high-profile team that’s addressing some of Intuit’s most pressing security challenges, including AI and GenAI security, cryptography and data security. This is an opportunity to create impact at a company level by adopting and enhancing state-of-the-art security technologies.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Explore and develop new security technologies in the areas of data and AI security
- Be a steward of Intuit’s and Intuit customers’ security by working with diverse teams to protect their data
- Drive significant technology initiatives, end to end and across multiple layers of architecture and process changes
- Drive design and implementation of durable software solutions that will solve critical customer problems
- Capture requirements and use cases
- Partner with other groups both inside and outside of Intuit for cross-functional design, solution integration and on-boarding of mobile, SaaS, PaaS, web, or desktop offerings
- Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting, and applying cutting-edge technology and software paradigms
- Pursue and resolve complex or unchartered technical problems and share key learnings
- Provide technical leadership and be a role model to software engineers pursuing technical career path in engineering
- Provide and inspire innovations that fuel the growth of Intuit as a whole
- Apply your experience and innovation to generate creative ideas for emerging business needs
- Coach and mentor other engineers in process and methodologies
- Provide perspective on leading industry trends, recommendations on new and emerging technologies, technology prototypes, patent proposals, and engineering process improvements
Qualifications
Technical Qualifications
- 8+ years of combined experience developing systems and software, or security-related research experience
- Strong familiarity with security technology, including authentication, authorization, and policies, and cryptography
- Familiarity with classic AI and Generative AI models, their implementation, use cases, and technological ecosystem
- Solid design and coding skills
- The ability to analyze complex systems from a security perspective
- Able to operate at highly varying levels of abstraction, from business strategy to product strategy to high-level technical design to detailed technical design to implementation
- The ability to drive process changes, including authoring process documents and shepherding long team adoption programs
- Synthesize achievable solutions from diverse inputs, alternative sources (build vs. buy vs. partner) and complex data
- Prior working experience in cloud computing domain highly desired
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related area, or equivalent experience
