Job Overview
We have an immediate opportunity for a SeniorLEAN Business Leader in San Diego, CA.
You will join the LEAN Transformation and Continuous Improvement team, which leads the way in establishing a culture and mindset of process excellence. You will also be responsible for implementing process re-engineering and optimization initiatives using LEAN and Continuous Improvement methodologies, concepts, and principles.
In this role, in collaboration with Intuit internal stakeholders, you will be the person in charge of developing, planning, and executing the strategy that results in not only the adoption of the Lean Management system, but also increased maturity of Lean methodologies to enable the elimination of waste, improvement of customer satisfaction, and the optimization of global processes across Intuit’s TurboTax business, Sales Operations or Partner Operations.
Responsibilities
- Managing and facilitating Continuous Improvement initiatives and strategy
- Driving a continuous improvement culture within the organization by prioritizing opportunities and execution of LEAN transformation strategy and metrics
- Using metrics to support process owners in linking projects to strategic objectives
- Driving operational productivity initiatives
- Assisting teams in developing LEAN roadmaps to use in deployment of strategic objectives
- Providing guidance for projects and kaizen events
- Challenging organizational leaders when necessary to create an action-based culture of continuous improvement and increase CI and LEAN-oriented thinking
- Working with finance to evaluate project savings estimates, validate reported CI benefits and ensure accurate accounting of CI productivity
On an as needed basis
- Coach teams to increase Lean maturity (Daily Management, Problem Solving)
- Facilitate Value Stream Mapping workshops, documenting outcomes to facilitate process improvement initiatives
- Implement Change Management related to LEAN implementations
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Southern California $$176,000 - 238,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
Qualifications
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Green (LSSGB) or Black Belt (LSSBB) from a reputed company
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Business Operations / Finance / Management or equivalent work experience.
- Extensive track record implementing Lean Management Systems (Daily Management, Problem Solving, Coaching, Gemba practice, Standard Work, Leader Standard Work)
- Strong experience with Suppliers / Partners development global programs.
- The breadth of knowledge of complex Lean and Six Sigma tools, methodology & statistical analysis
- Knowledge & understanding of the high technology/software industry business models & core processes
- Ideally a Change Management certified professional – Prosci - ADKAR, Kotter, etc.
The experience you need to excel in the role:
- 7 to 10 years of professional experience driving large, cross-functional LEAN & continuous improvement initiatives with demonstrable business results
- Working on large, global process re-engineering initiatives in large, complex global organizations, mainly focused on product management and learning development initiatives.
- Experience either in deploying or working in an established Lean management system with hands-on knowledge of transactional process improvement, product development, or engineering
- Experience as a Lean transformation leader with a broad cross-functional background.
- Strong facilitation skills in managing senior stakeholder relationships, partnerships, interactions, and workshops.
- Directing work efforts in a matrixed environment to achieve objectives effectively & efficiently
- Ability to work in the local office 2-3 days per week in the office and travel 15-25%
