We're seeking a passionate and independent Staff Business Analyst with excellent analytical skills to join our Strategic Sourcing and Business operations team at Intuit. This position is ideal for someone with experience in analytics, process improvement, data analysis, and a gaps and opportunities focused person with a passion for delivering data-driven insights. In this role you will be an integral part of the Global Business Services (GBS) Team that tackles Third Party (3P) strategic sourcing and business operations. The Intuit GBS team manages a multi-billion expense portfolio across our 3P suppliers ecosystem spanning Technology, Marketing, Services, Supply Chain, and Other accelerating functions.
Your primary responsibilities include data analysis and insight development in support of category strategy, partner performance transformation, value chain strategy and analytics, project management, and driving total cost of ownership programs. This role will serve as a strategic leader and thought partner that will report into Group Manager of Third Party Strategy and Transformation Group.
You will support a cross functional set of teams across Finance, Technology, and Intuit’s key business units that deliver QuickBooks and TurboTax products.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments with multiple priorities and stakeholders. This role will be tasked with performing data analysis, insights gathering, and presenting insights to leadership on key strategic growth and optimization opportunities. The role is expected to lead with data and perform data analysis that lead to actionable insights and long term strategic plans.
Responsibilities
- Drive opportunity identification and sizing with our Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Business Operations, Process Improvement, Partner Performance areas unlocking critical optimizations and experimentation efforts to drive customer benefit and business outcomes
- Provide product leaders and stakeholders with guidance on how to use available data for critical business needs and goals
- Effective storytelling with data, to educate and instill confidence, motivating stakeholders to act on recommendations
- Manage the full cycle of iterative big data exploration, including hypothesis setting, data cleansing, insight generation/visualization, and action planning
- Design and implement the approach needed to methodically and iteratively structure, extract, analyze, validate, and communicate data-backed insights
- Partner with cross-functional teams to design and build analytics and reporting tools that automate self-serve
- Use expertise and independent judgment in collaborating with peers, data and analytics teams, and business analysts
- Partner with teams across all of Intuit (including product development, marketing, engineering, compliance, risk policy, etc.) to enable decision support and key insights
- Develop compelling visualizations that crystallize business opportunities for business stakeholders and leaders to make timely decisions.
- Design and run data driven tests and experiments that identify business opportunities and compare performance against company goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and analysts to ensure analytical solutions are scalable, repeatable, effective, sustainable, and meet expectations of various stakeholders
- Provide recommendations utilizing multiple types of data, business knowledge, and strategic assumptions when data doesn’t exist.
- Build relationships with other functions critical to the team's mission.
- Mentor and coach other analytics team members to drive creative ideas, use of the latest data techniques and elevate outcomes.
- Deliver key metrics, dashboards and ad-hoc analyses with interpretation, contributing to the development of hypotheses and actions for run the business metrics.
- Data-Driven Insights: Lead complex, cross-functional projects to deliver actionable insights that support decision-making and business outcomes.
- AI/GenAI Solutions: Partner with AI teams (within Finance and across Tech) to integrate AI/GenAI capabilities that improve business processes and drive key outcomes.
- Oversee design, instrumentation, quality initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Utilize advanced BI tools and frameworks to drive insights and recommendations in support of business strategies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business partners to develop and implement data-driven strategies and tools that align with company goals.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $160,000 - 216,500, Southern California $150,000 - 202,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
Qualifications
- 7+ Years of data analytics skills primarily focused on data gathering, analysis, insight development, data segmentation, and aggregation from scratch.
- Strong experience and expertise in Strategic Sourcing, Optimization, Total cost of ownership initiatives
- Experience in advanced analytical tools and programming languages, data query, data processing tools/systems
- Finance and Sourcing fundamentals: sourcing system knowledge (i.e. Coupa, Oracle, Smartsheets, QlikSense, G-Suite, GenAI exposure, Tableau) and workflows
- Good working experience with data analytics and visualization tools (Tableau, QlikSense).
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Finance, Advanced Analytics, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered. Master's or MBA preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving, quantitative thinking, organization, time management, and task prioritization skills
- Past experience in data models, working knowledge of cloud computing/services, SaaS
- Relevant experience working on data analysis, business intelligence, optimization initiatives
- Comfortable working on complex, large data sets, spend cubes, workflow process cycle times and identifying bottlenecks
- Experience with ERP and Source-to-Pay tools preferred
- Experience in team environments and driving large projects with internal, and external stakeholders
- Experience managing, supporting multiple simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment
- Solid financial and/or quantitative modeling
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data
