Join the QuickBooks Workforce Solutions team as a Design Manager, leading the QuickBooks Payroll experiences. You'll manage and mentor a team, balancing design strategy, creative direction, and people leadership to deliver exceptional experiences for our customers.
Design is crucial at Intuit, as it partners closely with product management and engineering to define the vision of the customer experience. Leverage your understanding of customer behavior and data-driven insights to inform design decisions. Work with other design leaders to ensure seamless, high-quality experiences across our product ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive design strategy to stimulate change and progress across the organization.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and cross-functional partners to help drive and influence product vision and strategy.
- Set a high-quality bar and guide teams to deliver exceptional experiences without compromising velocity.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, feedback and career development for team members.
- Communicate effectively to inspire and align stakeholders, using stories and visuals to evoke emotional responses.
- Use quantitative and qualitative data to draw insights, craft strategies, guide teams, and inform decision-making.
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $219000-296500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.
Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master's degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction Design, or a related field
- Portfolio of past work demonstrating strong craft, process, and rigor
- Deep understanding of user interface, interaction, content, and visual design with a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality design output
- Successful track record in overseeing large-scale design experiences that balance user needs, business outcomes, and technical constraints
- Strong business acumen and experience in managing multiple stakeholders and senior leaders
- Ability to develop and communicate the key stories, mission, and vision of the team, empowering them to become better storytellers
- Develops a visionary ideal state based on data that seize the biggest opportunities for end-to-end improvements
- The uncanny ability to bring people along across a complex organization and inspire them
- Proficient in using analytics to derive actionable insights and measure KPIs, to inform design strategies and influence business decisions
- Knowledgeable about design trends in mobile, web, and AI with experience designing for accessibility and usability
