Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for our AI security initiative and ensure the safe development of our generative AI technology.

As Senior Software Engineer – AI Safety, you will be working with a team of engineers to develop ideas and products that safeguard Intuit's generative AI ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Lead development efforts to build software to safeguard our AI ecosystem.
Provide technical leadership and be a role model and mentor to engineers.
Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the risks and potential dangers associated with the use of AI.
Advocate for the highest standards for engineering design, implementation, and testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for the use of AI at Intuit, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $161,500-219,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.

Qualifications

BS/MS in computer science/engineering or equivalent work experience
At least 8 years of experience in software engineering and security.
Expert knowledge of backend software development (Java and Python)
Experience with AI technologies such as SageMaker, LangChain, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, DialogFlow
Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels - from front line engineers and non-technical stakeholders, to senior leaders in engineering or at the executive level.
Ability to drive velocity while partnering with data science and engineering teams across multiple time zones.
