The Futures team develops and incubates emerging technologies, user experiences, and capabilities that will transform the future of our customers, products, and business. Our work focuses on solving problems for our customers, small businesses and consumers, with technologies such as AI and leading edge fintech. We work with teams across Intuit to influence and contribute to Intuit’s business and strategy. In this role, you will have end-to-end responsibilities from spearheading to launching the next generation of customer experiences and capabilities for our current and future customers. You will be part of a small multi-talented team of engineers and product managers, incubating trajectory changing experiences and services for Intuit.

Responsibilities

- Apply strategic thinking to design and deliver innovative end-to-end user experiences that optimize among user needs, business goals, and technological realities across web & mobile platforms

- Take ideas and concepts, and visualize them in such that they are communicated effectively and compellingly for internal leaders, partners and customers

- Turn visions into concepts and translate those concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity, despite complexity of the system

- Directly responsible for delivering User Experience visions, UI specifications, wireframes and prototypes

- Collaborate effectively with researchers, product management, development, marketing, and other team members

- Use facilitative leadership skills to drive to the best outcome for stakeholders, resulting in others learning from you, and inspiring others to want to work with you

- Be Bold - Create compelling visions and translate concepts into designs that illustrate simplicity, despite complexity of the system.

- Learn fast - Rapidly explore ideas and complex interactions through prototypes and test your hypothesis with users using a variety of methodologies.

- Storytelling - Effectively communicate design approach and demonstrate strong storytelling techniques to inspire the team.

- Managing and mentoring - Coaching and mentoring more junior designers on the team in craft and development of key hard and soft skills.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach.

The expected base pay range for this position is:New York: $181,500 - 251,000

Southern California: $186,000 - $251,500This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits).Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.

Qualifications

- 8+ years of experience in interaction design, product design, service design, or related field.

- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction Design, or other relevant field; Master’s preferred.

- Deep knowledge of design principles and methods.

- Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive business results.

- Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator.

- Expertise conveying ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping.
