Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical leader within the Intuit Assist for Virtual Experts team, driving significant technology initiatives from conception through successful deployment
- Collaborate closely with AI research teams, Product Management (PM), and Experience Design (XD) to deliver seamless, AI-driven experiences.
- Lead the design and development of resilient, scalable, and secure services that support unique AI-driven product features for QuickBooks & Turbotax users
- Guide the team in adopting AI-driven innovation while maintaining a balance between operational excellence and engineering pragmatism
- Own and progress the technical vision and architecture for the team, ensuring alignment with Intuit’s broader strategic goals
- Actively seek out novel AI technologies and methodologies that can be leveraged to enhance the customer experience, contributing to Intuit’s position as a fintech innovator
- Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation
- Drive cross-functional initiatives with both technical and non-technical teams, ensuring smooth integration and deployment of AI capabilities
- Work with PM/XD/Research to synthesize user feedback and metrics to drive continuous product improvement and customer benefits
Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science, or related field, with a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design or equivalent experience
- 9+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant portion dedicated to Python, Typescript and developing large, complex distributed systems
- Demonstrated experience in AI/ML technologies, with a proven track record of integrating AI-driven features into products
- Proficiency in modern software development tools and methodologies, including Agile and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with cloud platforms, microservices architectures, RESTful APIs, and related technologies ideally within a SaaS model
- Exceptional collaboration skills, with experience working closely with AI research teams, product management, and cross-disciplinary design teams (PM/XD) to define, scope, and prioritize product features
- Advanced problem-solving abilities and capacity to make data-driven decisions
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of driving technical concepts and strategies across diverse teams
- Experience concepting, planning, and spearheading the launch of innovative product features in a fast-paced, result-oriented environment
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Southern California $149,500-202,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
