With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

Join the TurboTax Holistic Search team as a TurboTax Technical SEO Manager. With deep technical SEO expertise and a robust track record, play a key role in optimizing organic search tied to top line business metrics (traffic, logins, units). With 6+ years in the field, and strong critical thinking skills, you'll leverage your ability both to strategize and to implement in our dynamic, fast-paced org. Embrace the opportunity to be part of a results-focused team dedicated to continuous improvement and innovation in SEO.

Responsibilities

  • Champion technical SEO best practices organization-wide to bolster organic search traffic and meet rigorous business goals each year, including successfully influencing teams from ideation to execution.
    • Provide deep technical SEO oversight and management of site architecture, platform migrations, technology decisions, crawling/rendering, subdomains, international SEO, and more.
  • Reimagine the TurboTax SEO strategy in partnership with other SEO leaders, aligning with short-term and long-term business objectives.
  • Employ advanced SEO techniques for AI Overviews, Chatbot, Schema, CWV, AMP, ASO and other optimization strategies.
  • Build and drive collaborative relationships across functions (engineering, web ops, design, strategy, analytics), ensuring SEO principles are integrated from design through coding.
  • Lead with effective communication at the right altitude for different audiences, and actively seek feedback from internal and external stakeholders—including agency partners—to build trust and cooperation across teams.
  • Passionate about data, analyzing and interpreting user behavior and search performance to evolve SEO strategy with data-backed insights.
    • Lead SEO tracking, refine attribution across devices (desktop, mobile web, mobile app), and help deliver insightful performance reporting.
    • Lead SEO testing requirements, evangelizing best practices across teams for sitewide A/B, multivariate, geo and personalization tests from concept to implementation.
  • Integrate seamlessly with the PPC team and broader digital marketing channels, employing a data-driven approach to maximize outcomes and ROI.
  • Manage app store optimization strategies to maximize mobile app visibility and download rates.
  • Inspire and effectively manage agency partners and contractors to deliver their best work for the TT SEO team.
