Job Overview

Intuit currently operates a multi cloud strategy across its products and platform capabilities and partners with thousands of partners to deliver solutions for its customers. We are for a Distinguished Engineer that will lead the Observability solutions across the entire company. You will be part of the Platform Development Xceleration (PDX) group that covers the development tools and infrastructure for services, applications, third-party integrations, identity and cloud hosting.

We are looking for a leader that has a passion for solving end to end problems and has expertise in designing large scale observability solutions.

You will be part of the Platform Development Xceleration (PDX) group and report to the VP of Development Experiences and Global Architecture to drive this important charter for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to evolve the architecture and influence the roadmap to implement it.
  • Work closely with cloud providers and help drive the strategy and co-develop solutions with the largest vendors in the cloud.
  • Partner closely with other organizations and product managers to drive requirements analysis.
  • Establish and improve operational excellence processes across the company to reduce MTTD (mean time to detect) and MTTR (mean time to recover).
  • Use, integrate, identify gaps and propose solutions across all technology assets in the company to ensure we have a cohesive platform.
  • Drive the technical governance of technologies being developed and partner with others to deliver end to end solutions.
  • Evaluate solution designs to confirm technical feasibility, alignment with business objectives, and incorporation of critical non-functional requirements.
  • Represent Intuit at conferences and networking events, highlighting the work of Intuit and observability team.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product and platform development experience with BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Experience is developing or consuming observability solutions, (Logs, Metrics, APM, Monitoring, CI/CD, Incident Response)
  • Experience in leading large project involving 150+ engineers, spanning multiple organization and global locations
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise is developing full stack applications across multiple areas from architecture, services, applications, data, analytics, AI and marketing technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical, problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills
