Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to establish and lead the Release Management function within the Global Business Siciolutions Group (GBSG) product development (PD) organization. This pivotal role will focus on driving release management processes for our PD teams, ensuring smooth, coordinated product launches across diverse stakeholders and functions.

As the Release Management Lead, you will be responsible for building this function from the ground up, setting the vision, processes, and standards for release management. You will collaborate closely with product management, marketing, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that product releases are efficient, seamless, and aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Establish the Release Management Function: Define the strategy, frameworks, and best practices for release management tailored to GBSG’s needs.
  • Drive Release Planning: Develop and manage end-to-end release processes, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality, on-time product launches.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with leadership from product management, marketing, engineering, and other teams to coordinate and align release plans, priorities, and dependencies.
  • Problem-Solving & Constraint Management: Proactively identify and address roadblocks or conflicting priorities to deliver successful releases.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement feedback loops and metrics to continuously optimize release management processes.
  • Communication: Serve as the central point of contact for release-related updates, ensuring transparency and alignment across all stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in release management, program management, or a related field, with a focus on product development in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to establish new functions or programs within an organization, including defining processes and gaining stakeholder buy-in.
  • Collaboration: Exceptional ability to partner with diverse teams, including product management, marketing, and engineering, to align on priorities and goals.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong aptitude for managing constraints, navigating ambiguity, and driving results in dynamic situations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Technical Understanding: Familiarity with software development processes, tools, and best practices is highly desirable.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $187500-254000.
