Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

Our Employee Relations team at Intuit enables a psychologically safe and supportive work environment that allows employees to do the best work of their lives. We manage and drive policies, programs, and changes that help us stay true to Intuit’s people-first culture and our values. We work with leaders and employees on concerns, conflicts, facilitated conversations, and escalations about the work environment and experiences that feel unfair, disrespectful, or not aligned to our company value of Stronger Together.

For us, Employee Relations is not just about resolving concerns - it’s about much more. We believe in making sure everyone has a voice and feels valued and heard. We believe in having difficult conversations and debating with respect and care. We help our employees embrace and understand other perspectives, even when they disagree. We believe in acknowledging when experiences are not perfect and finding ways to learn from those experiences and restore trust. We are facilitators, coaches, culture-stewards, innovators, and problem-solvers who wake up every day knowing we make a difference for our employees.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire, lead, and grow a high-performing global Employee Relations team.
  • Continually teach and develop your own and your team’s advanced skills in conflict resolution and facilitation, restorative techniques, and mental health and crisis support.
  • Oversee and define the company’s approach to managing and addressing Employee Relations escalations and concerns, working from established (yet continuously improving) processes, protocols, playbooks, and principles.
  • Provide expert guidance and oversight on policies, programs, strategies and organizational changes that may have implications for company trust and culture, ensuring Employee Relations involvement, and that they are built and delivered in the right way.
  • Help define the company’s strategy and approach to external or internal changes that have significant cultural or trust implications (acquisitions, new regulations, decisions about hybrid work, responses to external events impacting the work environment).
  • Evaluate, and define how Employee Relations will use AI and other technologies to drive scale, consistency, and impact, with right responsible data use
  • Partner with senior business leaders and HRBPs to develop innovative ways to diagnose, share, and take action on insights related to Employee Relations cases, broader leadership issues, or organizational health.
  • Drive and contribute to all People & Places priorities, both directly and through the team.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HRBPs, leadership, and the broader People organization to prevent, diagnose, and address work environment issues, employee workplace conflicts, or other policy, organizational, or other changes that shape employee trust and our culture.
  • Ensure oversight and governance of People & Places policies globally, and how we interpret and apply those policies.
  • Be an advocate for employees and our people-first culture, ensuring employees’ voices are heard and concerns are addressed with urgency and understanding.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA and JD degree preferred and 12 plus years of relevant work experience and at least 6 years managing a global employee relations team, or equivalent experience
  • Deep domain experience in one or more the following areas: workplace conflict, mediation, trauma-informed techniques, inclusion practices, leadership coaching, restorative justice, and/or human resources/employment law
  • Talent steward able to successfully attract, develop, and inspire top talent
  • Demonstrated success in applying human-centered, innovative approaches to employee relations, with strong business and people acumen
  • Best-in-class operational rigor in overseeing a high volume of urgent, and highly-sensitive case and project work at a large company, preferably using ServiceNow, Salesforce, or similar technologies
  • Ability to work collaboratively, lead and influence at all levels within the organization, and drive decisions across multiple partners and leaders
  • In-depth understanding of all aspects of US employment and human resources related laws, regulations, policies, principles, concepts and practices, including ADA, ADEA and FMLA. Knowledge of and experience with international labor practices in countries where Intuit does business strongly preferred (US, Australia, Canada, UK, India, Israel)
