Job Overview

Join Intuit's Development Productivity (DevProd) organization as a Software Engineer on our innovative AI-powered developer tools team. We are on a mission to revolutionize software development by leveraging the power of Artificial Intelligence. This is a unique opportunity to explore, experiment, and build cutting-edge tools that will empower thousands of Intuitengineers to deliver exceptional value to our customers. This role is for individuals who are passionate about software development, fascinated by AI's potential, and driven to solve challenging problems. We are looking for self-motivated, collaborative team members who can brainstorm innovative ideas, focus on delivering MVP solutions, and adapt to an evolving product roadmap. The specific tools we will build are yet to be defined, offering you the chance to shape the future of software development at Intuit

Responsibilities

  • Research and continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies to enhance software development productivity.
  • Contribute to the development of an AI platform focused on code generation and developer assistance.
  • Develop AI-powered tools that understand and leverage Intuit's technology, design principles, and coding best practices.
  • Create comprehensive documentation, tutorials, and examples to facilitate the adoption of AI tools by developers.
  • Define product requirements and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Collaborate with, mentor, and accelerate team members.
  • Drive technical excellence and innovation within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure the quality and reliability of AI tools through automated testing and rigorous development practices.
  • Monitor and maintain production systems, responding promptly to incidents and issues.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is:

Bay Area California $197,000-$266,500

This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at IntuitĀ®: Careers | Benefits).Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing pay equity for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in software development on distributed systems.
  • A strong passion for software development productivity and how AI can enhance it.
  • A fundamental understanding of GenAI technologies, their capabilities, and limitations.
  • Knowledge of using AI frameworks for developing Agentic Workflows.
  • Track record of designing, building and delivering innovative software in a research and development environment.
  • Experience deploying, monitoring, and scaling AI solutions on cloud infra (AWS, GCP, or similar)
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in an environment with evolving priorities.
