We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

Come join the Money team at Intuit as Lending & Credit Cards Product Counsel! You’ll be an important part of Intuit’s mission to power prosperity around the world! We deliver on our mission by working to solve the most important financial problems of our customers -- both consumers and small businesses -- and the communities we serve. Intuit helps put more money in our customers’ pockets, eliminating work and drudgery so they can focus on their lives and what matters to them, and ensuring that they have complete confidence in every decision they make.

As a member of the Products Legal team, you will be responsible for partnering with multiple innovative product teams to ensure that our lending and credit card products are structured to meet our customers’ needs and achieve our strategy, while also complying with application laws and regulations. You will provide advice and guidance to our product teams on a wide variety of legal and regulatory matters related to the development, launch and expansion of Intuit’s lending and credit card products. You also will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide end-to-end support for such products.

We believe diversity and inclusion among our teammates produces better results and is critical to our success as a global company. We are committed to recruiting, developing, and retaining the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool.

This role is hybrid with on-site expectations of 3 days per week in Mountain View, CA, San Diego, CA, or Atlanta, GA. We prioritize being together to promote connection and belonging, creativity and innovation, as well as speed, agility, and productivity to accelerate getting work done.

Responsibilities

  • As a core legal partner and product counsel to Intuit’s Global Business Solutions Group, you will advise on end-to-end product launch and lifecycle management for lending and credit card products, including business strategy, ideation, content design, user flows, engineering, go to market, cardholder agreements and terms of service, compliance, and operations.
  • You’ll provide timely, business-focused advice and counseling in support of our credit card strategy and in a variety of cutting edge matters, including advising on federal and state laws governing credit card programs, data privacy & protection, risk, marketing, and bank partnerships.
  • You’ll also manage relationships with external legal counsel, as needed.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $206,000 - 279,000 and San Diego $203,000 - 275,000.

This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. • Background in launching products and advising on the legal and regulatory aspects of product development in the financial services or fintech space.
  • Experience advising on the full lifecycle of lending products and credit card programs, including knowledge of laws applicable to such products (e.g., UDAP, FCRA, ECOA, TILA/Regulation Z, CARD Act, etc.); bank partnerships; and servicing & collections.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders with minimal supervision, including working closely with the business and other support teams (finance/accounting, capital markets, credit & risk, marketing, servicing & collections) to implement compliant business strategy.
  • Comfortable and adept at balancing risk and opportunity, and thinking creatively to enable the business to make smart decisions.
  • Exceptional verbal/written/presentation skills in order to communicate legal requirements and strategy to a broad variety of stakeholders
