Job Overview

Intuit is seeking a Vice President of Data for the A2D organization. This position is responsible for developing, leading, and evangelizing the data engineering and platform transformation across all Intuit’s offerings. This role will help shape Intuit’s AI-driven Expert Platform strategy by partnering with business teams to apply AI advancements and expert process innovations to reimagine customer success of the future! This role combines data, analytics, and data science, to holistically drive people, process, and technology transformations, and build a high performance team.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as a thought leader and visionary, with the ability to guide, influence and inspire peak performance across data, analytics, and applied data science functions
  • Develop the data roadmap using the most appropriate real-time technologies and partner with in-house data teams to support development of high quality data for learning plans, experimentation, and outcome metrics to drive business growth
  • Develop a high performance team with the skills of the future across the domains of data, analytics, and data science
  • Drive deeper partnership across business teams, operating as decision partners for strategic business decisions. Engage with business partners to provide common understanding of business priorities and data implications (prioritization and resourcing)
  • Incorporate modern tools, process, and AI automation to meet the needs of business partners for breadth and depth of insights.
  • Create a shared data governance (quality, timeliness, access and definitions) accountability and ownership
  • Guide and inspire the teams in data science best practices, and evangelize strategic use of data throughout the business
  • Collaborate across the management team to help shape a coherent strategy and plan across all areas of the business
  • Conduct in-depth strategic research of our competitors and market needs to guide decisions around our data monetization strategies
  • Understand the analytic needs of the consumer marketplace through interactions with clients, partners, and internal constituencies
  • Develop solutions (product and services) value proposition, positioning, and messaging that are differentiated, clear, defensible and impactful
  • Continually looking at the environment to challenge our assumptions around new sources of data, tools, talent, potential partners, etc.
  • Apply holistic understanding of data-driven insights across AI-driven platform services and human expert workflows to uncover differentiated value for the business
  • Institute standardization across all initiatives to leverage principles of proactive data-by-design, comprehensive learning plans and success metrics, and experimentation design to maximize differentiated decision making.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading and inspiring a high-performing data, analytics, applied data science teams to support transformation, business growth objectives
  • Strong technical knowledge of open-source technologies with experience in performing technical and business tradeoffs between technologies
  • Proven experience in driving engineering requirements through Agile development methodologies
  • Operates as a thought leader and visionary, with the ability to guide, influence and inspire peak performance across the data architecture and analytics functions
  • Understanding of advanced data architecture, analytics techniques, and emerging forms of analytics and data science models
  • Strong consultative skills to establish relationships across the broader organization
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with both business and technology leaders, with a strong understand of business data requirements and technology capabilities
  • Experience working with analytic solutions and the science behind them, either as a provider of these solutions or as a client that uses them
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role managing the product portfolios across multiple vertical markets and geographies
  • Demonstrated experience transforming a portfolio of solutions to address the latest market requirements and trends
  • Comfortable communicating and interacting with data scientists, as well as understanding and translating the science of analytics to a more general audience
  • Familiarity with the trends and opportunities in the big data and data science domains
  • Desire to “roll up the sleeves” and get into the heart of the business
  • Familiarity and experience working with customer service in the financial domain
  • Demonstrable ability to work across a global matrix and ability to put strong communication, leadership and influencing skills to work

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $384,500.00 - 520,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
