Job Overview

The Tech Strategic Programs organization delivers for Intuit and Tech Strategy by transforming and driving how our Technology ecosystem operates to accelerate outcomes for our customers. This small, yet mighty team works with senior leaders and partners across the company. We focus on strategic planning, the operating rhythm, executive narratives, workforce programs and a portfolio of the most critical work that deliver to the highest priority areas for growth and customer impact.

We are looking for a strategic and organized leader with a passion for innovation and data-driven optimization. As a Staff Program Manager, you will work alongside senior leaders from People & Places and the Technology organizations to deliver the technical promotion process: with a focus on holding a high bar of consistency across the company, increasing simplicity and reducing effort to administer.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive program planning and execution in partnership with cross-functional groups such as Technology, Legal, Communications and HR to deliver successful business outcomes.
  • Develop trusted relationships to be a thought partner to sponsors and directors, with the ability to look around corners
  • Lead change, ensuring effective change management is part of the programs you lead and supports building this capability across the organization.
  • Drive your program teams to deliver strategic outcomes with velocity; manage dependencies and remove obstacles that stand between your teams and business success using best practices for initiating, planning, and executing critical cross-functional programs end-to-end.
  • Identify areas of improvement across the program/portfolio in partnership with stakeholders to enable cross Intuit acceleration.
  • Identify and leverage GenAI tools to strategically accelerate outcomes
  • Leverage design thinking to gather customer feedback and data that will enable process improvements.
  • Create documentation, FAQs and training that enables the various customers of the process to be successful.

Qualifications

Connect Strategy to Execution

  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of the organizational and Intuit strategy, business/operating model and performance drivers, and uses this as an input to facilitate the creation of strategy and drive execution to deliver on the strategy at project/program/process level.
  • Prioritizes within a project/program/process across multiple organizations or in a large function/segment to accelerate delivery of the most impactful work.
  • Identifies when a decision or tradeoff is needed, drives tradeoff discussions and provides data driven recommendations to stakeholders for decisioning.

Execute with Rigor

  • Partners across teams to define program outcomes, create program framework, build an end to end delivery plan and establish governance model. Leads appropriate workstream drivers to meet program success measures, in order to deliver business outcomes.
  • Develops and drives the operating rhythm at the project/program/process level to set strategy, monitor performance, inspire teams and instill accountability.
  • Partners across teams to uncover risks and dependencies, proactively escalates blockers and quickly determines the optimal paths to green. Communicates clearly on program progress, leveraging data and insights to recommend decisions and next steps. Is curious and resourceful with solutions.

Enable Scale and Velocity

  • Identifies the need for and contributes to new frameworks, best practices, tools and templates or leverages existing ones.
  • Identifies, recommends and drives continuous improvement opportunities to ensure outcome delivery and improve business efficiency. Tests with rapid experimentation and shared learnings to enable improvement in other areas.
  • Participates in the improvement of the craft, is viewed by peers as an expert and coaches others.

Lead Change

  • Establishes credibility as a boundaryless change leader, strengthens trust across teams, acts as a role model and generates broad support, in order to lead change with velocity.
  • Partners across teams to identify impacts of all key changes, develops a clear change management plan and drives end-to-end execution on the plan.
  • Exhibits extreme ownership to drive change effort. Proactively identifies and engages with stakeholders and anticipates their needs, expectations and responses. Able to communicate a compelling and data-backed case of change, in order to influence stakeholders to take actions. Instills confidence in teams and stakeholders.

HR and Talent Expertise

  • Able to rapidly navigate new program areas, diving deep into the technical promotion process and resurfacing to develop an end-to-end blueprint for the program.
  • Possesses extensive talent management knowledge to drive promotion process and cycle discussions. Strengthens expertise, leveraging outside in knowledge to navigate risks and drive operational excellence.
  • Able to drive talent management discussions, leading the experts in the field through active problem solving to mobilize teams to deliver on program outcomes.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is Bay Area California $154,000 - 208,500, Southern California $143,500 - 194,000. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at IntuitĀ®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
