Job Overview

Intuit’s Consumer Group, including TurboTax, empowers millions of individuals to take control of their finances. TurboTax simplifies tax preparation and enables our customers to file with confidence. We leverage data and insights to innovate and enhance our consumer offerings.

Now, we are expanding our focus to Consumer Lending and banking within the Consumer Group, including TurboTax and Credit Karma Money, and require a strategic leader to manage and develop a team of Fraud Risk Analysts. This role will be crucial in supporting our consumer risk initiatives, while navigating the complexities of Fintech Risk, alongside our core tax and banking businesses. If you are passionate about building and leading a high-performing team that drives results through data-driven insights in consumer lending spaces, and understands the unique risks within Fintech, this role is for you.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team: Supervise a team of Fraud Risk Analysts focused on fraud mitigation and risk management within the Consumer Group (TurboTax, Credit Karma Money, Consumer Lending, and Banking).
  • Set Strategy: Collaborate with the Fraud Risk & Governance Committee to define overall fraud risk strategy, risk appetite, and quality standards for consumer fraud and financial solutions.
  • Fraud Policy development: Develop, implement, and continuously enhance fraud risk policies and programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across consumer-facing products.
  • Own and manage fraud losses, ensuring they remain within the defined risk appetite for the Consumer Group.
  • Make decisions that impact cross-functional priorities, strategy, and outcomes related to consumer lending and banking.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with teams across Intuit, including product development, marketing, compliance, data engineering, data scientists, and more, to enable thorough fraud risk analysis and mitigation solutions specific to consumer products.
  • Strategic decision-making: Contribute to critical priorities and strategies that impact consumer lending, banking, fraud prevention, and overall risk
  • Data-driven fraud solutions: Use big data tools to analyze consumer transaction patterns, identify fraud risks, and design advanced fraud mitigation strategies for consumer-facing financial products.
  • Portfolio performance analytics: Continuously analyze granular portfolio data, perform root-cause analysis, and identify fraud trends impacting consumer product performance.
  • Identify and evaluate new vendors / data sources and create business cases
  • Leadership and mentoring: Coach, mentor, and empower Fraud Risk Analysts to adopt creative solutions, leverage data-driven insights, and produce exceptional results in consumer fraud mitigation.
  • Stakeholder management: Represent the Consumer Fraud and Risk team across Intuit and with external partners such as banking partners, regulators, and auditors, supporting fraud prevention and accurate data transparency.

Qualifications

  • Proven leader in the data and risk space with 10+ or more years of experience leading conversations across teams to drive for business requirements clarity, build, and launch, with a strong emphasis on consumer lending.
  • Experience managing and developing a team of analysts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet objectives and key deadlines in the consumer solutions domain.
  • Expert in one of the following analytics tools, such as Python, R, SAS, and any environment under SQL.
  • Outstanding communications skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues, including telling compelling stories with data, especially in consumer
  • Strong strategic mindset, but also willing to roll up your sleeves and get into the details, coaching team members where needed, particularly in the consumer lending context.
  • Experience working with BI tools such as Tableau , quicksight, databricks.
  • Proven history as a self-starter who seeks the problem, doesn't wait for the problem to find them with excellent problem-solving skills and end-to-end quantitative thinking in consumer lending.
  • Demonstrates highly effective cross-functional leadership and experience working in a large matrixed organization, aligning cross-functional stakeholders, gathering business requirements, and launching product features in a fast paced environment , with a focus on consumer lending.
  • Analytically minded with experience working on large-scale data projects; product management experience would be a plus, especially within consumer lending.
  • Strong organization, time management, and task prioritization skills.
  • Domain experience in FinTech, Risk, Financial services, with specific expertise in Consumer Lending, is highly advantageous.
  • Undergraduate degree required (Economics, Natural Sciences, Statistics, Engineering, etc.); advanced degree preferred.

Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is:

Bay Area California: 233,500 - 316,000
