Join the Virtual Expert Platform (VEP) team as a Software Engineer I (Full Stack + AI). The VEP team builds capabilities that connect Intuit’s experts with customers through intelligent, data-driven experiences. You’ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment that partners closely with Product, Design, and Operations to deliver smart, personalized solutions that empower both users and experts.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development, and testing of web-based and AI-enhanced platform features.

  • Participate in building and integrating AI-powered components such as recommendations, conversational experiences, or automated insights.

  • Write clean, maintainable code and collaborate with senior engineers to design scalable systems.

  • Debug, test, and optimize software across the stack.

  • Work cross-functionally with product managers, data scientists, and designers to translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Learn and apply best practices in Agile development, CI/CD, and cloud-native deployment.

  • Continuously grow your skills in AI, data engineering, and modern full-stack development.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).

  • 0–2 years of experience developing software applications (academic, internship, or project work welcome).

  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.

  • Basic understanding of machine learning concepts (e.g., model training, inference, APIs) or experience using AI libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

  • Familiarity with REST / GraphQL APIs, web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and cloud services.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning about AI systems and their real-world applications.

Bonus Points

  • Exposure to LLM-based applications (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face APIs).

  • Experience with data pipelines, SQL, or working with structured/unstructured datasets.

  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.

  • Understanding of responsible AI principles and model evaluation.

  • Coursework or projects in Natural Language Processing, Recommendation Systems, or Generative AI.
