Our team is responsible for driving innovation to deliver TurboTax Canada with delightful user experiences while maintaining the overall quality and accuracy of the product. As part of the team, you’ll apply your mobile development, innovation, and leadership skills to drive the technology and processes of a large-scale consumer mobile application.

Software Engineer I (Android/iOS Development)


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to gather functional requirements and assist in developing technical specifications.
  • Contribute to the design and development of Android/iOS mobile
  • Assist in creating prototypes and Proof of Concepts for new
  • Write and debug code under the guidance of senior developers, focusing on building clean and efficient software.
  • Help identify and fix bugs during QA testing, pre-production, and post-
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and other engineering groups to learn about delivering software solutions.
  • Participate in team discussions and provide input on development processes and
  • Learn to identify technical risks and work on improving your problem-solving skills throughout
  • Contribute to code reviews by sharing ideas and learning from more experienced
  • Gain familiarity with performance optimization and tuning techniques for mobile
  • Learn to use Agile Development methodologies such as SCRUM while working in a team

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent knowledge).
  • Familiarity with Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift) development through coursework, personal projects, or internships.
  • Understanding of basic programming principles and software design.
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies, and stay curious about emerging trends in mobile development.
  • Willingness to adapt and contribute in a collaborative team environment.
  • Good communication skills and a desire to develop these further.
  • Passion for solving problems and eagerness to grow technical expertise
