Job Overview

As we strive to Power Prosperity Around the World, it’s essential that we identify new opportunities to solve business challenges with our cloud-based accounting solutions. As a Mid Market Account Executive, you will be responsible for consulting with firms that are using traditional desktop accounting solutions for their clients, building relationships, and helping the firm adapt to cloud technology and understand how their needs align with Intuit’s ecosystem so that we deliver awesome and help them grow their business.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a strategic territory plan to achieve and exceed quarterly revenue targets within your assigned segment.
  • Actively generate new pipeline by deploying a multi-channel outbound prospecting strategy (e.g., targeted emails, calls, social selling) to engage high-fit firms.
  • Partner with Lead Development Reps (LDRs) to co-manage your territory, accept and advance qualified leads, and ensure a robust pipeline.
  • Own the full sales cycle from the first call to negotiation and close, acting as the primary point of contact for the accounting firm.
  • Conduct deep-dive discovery calls with genuine curiosity to uncover the specific challenges and "jobs to be done" within traditional desktop-based firms.
  • Perform compelling, value-based demonstrations of the Intuit ecosystem, tailored to the prospect's unique needs and demonstrating clear ROI.
  • Act as a consultative partner by leveraging your understanding of accounting workflows to build trust and advise firms on their cloud transition.
  • Manage complex deals by skillfully navigating multiple stakeholders (e.g., Managing Partners, IT staff, Firm Administrators) and guiding them through their change management process.
  • Maintain meticulous data hygiene in all business systems (like Salesforce) to ensure accurate forecasting and clear handoffs to post-sales teams.
  • Work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Marketing, and Product teams to solve customer problems and provide valuable feedback from the field.

Qualifications

  • 4 years of B2B Sales experience
  • A proven track record managing and growing customer accounts
  • Experience using consultative selling methodologies (Spin, Challenger, Solution Selling)
  • Strong deal negotiation and pipeline management skills
  • An ability to uncover business challenges and opportunities where Intuit can provide value
  • Self-motivation, excellent time management and attention to detail
  • An unwavering positive attitude, strong drive for results, and the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Coachability and openness to feedback
  • Willingness to experiment with new strategies and best practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with common accountant and bookkeeper workflows.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles is preferred.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is: 80,500 - 109,000
