Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead a transformative strategy for QuickBooks Payments, helping small businesses eliminate manual work from the process of getting paid while unlocking a massive new growth engine for our Payments business.

Small businesses are managing an increasingly fragmented set of tools to run their business. A typical business today might use one app to schedule appointments, another to manage projects, a third to sign contracts, and fourth to send invoices—leaving their financial data siloed and the critical process of getting paid disconnected from the work itself. Ultimately, this forces business owners to spend hours on manual data entry and reconciliation, pulling them away from the work they love.

This is where you come in. Your mission will be to more deeply connect QuickBooks to the broader ecosystem of tools small businesses use to run their business in order to streamline their "lead-to-cash" journey. Whether through building new first-party solutions, creating deep integrations, or forging strategic partnerships, you will architect solutions to reduce friction for our customers and – in turn – drive massive growth for our payments business.

Responsibilities

  • Set a bold vision and strategy for how QuickBooks will better connect currently-disjointed workflows and tools to better serve customers and drive Total Payment Volume (TPV)
  • Lead roadmap development and execution, prioritizing across opportunities to build and/or partner to deliver customer-facing solutions within the QuickBooks platform and/or embed our Payments solutions in key third-party platforms
  • Develop, track and own a set of business and customer outcomes and metrics, ultimately delivering material impact for the business.
  • Drive rigorous prioritization and investment decisions necessary to deliver your team’s vision and roadmap.
  • Partner with business development, GTM, design, engineering, legal, compliance, data science, and other functional teams to pursue a mission.
  • Identify and pursue 3rd party partnership opportunities to deliver
  • Galvanize cross-functional teams across the QuickBooks ecosystem to drive momentum and velocity
  • Go deep with customers and the data to inform strategic choices and build solutions that customers use and value

Qualifications

  • Experience: 8+ years of product management experience; with a proven track record of success in developing business workflow solutions, embedded/API-based solutions, or partnership-enabled experiences.
  • Impact Delivery: Proven track record of leading complex product initiatives that result in significant business growth.
  • Excel in Ambiguity: can take open-ended business problems and distill them into concrete, actionable product roadmaps.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable product strategies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to use data to inform decisions, identify market opportunities, and optimize for growth.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to engage effectively with engineering teams on technical topics. Understanding of payments and APIs a plus.
  • Customer Obsession: passion for deeply understanding customer needs
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and influence without authority in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Executive Presence and Influence: The ability to work closely with Senior and C-level executives to develop product strategy and gain alignment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Bonus for having a strong understanding of the unique workflows of service-based industries (e.g., Field Services, Construction, Professional Services)
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; an MBA or advanced degree is a bonus. Equivalent experience will be considered.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is: Bay Area $236,000 - $319,900
