Intuit Mailchimp solves one of the largest challenges small and medium sized businesses face – getting customers. The Growth Specialist is a critical role focused on generating expansion revenue from our existing customer base. This role identifies, positions, and closes opportunities for Intuit Mailchimp’s expansion solutions—including SMS, transactional email/SMS, and other revenue-driving add-ons.
The Growth Specialist is responsible for uncovering growth opportunities within the existing customer journey and driving incremental value through strategic consultative selling.
You will work closely with cross-functional partners and with power users, technical stakeholders, and decision makers inside customer organisations to demonstrate the value of expansion products and help customers scale their marketing operations.
Responsibilities
Expansion Sales & Revenue Growth
Own and achieve quarterly expansion revenue targets across SMS, transactional email/SMS, and related add-on products.
Identify, qualify, and pursue upsell opportunities within existing accounts using insights from product usage, marketing behavior, and customer goals.
Lead consultative discovery to understand customer communication workflows, technical requirements, and growth objectives.
Translate product features—particularly advanced messaging and automation capabilities—into clear ROI and business value for customers.
Manage the full expansion sales cycle from discovery and demo to commercial negotiation and close.
Pipeline Generation & Opportunity Management
Proactively build and manage a pipeline of expansion opportunities using CRM tools with strong data hygiene and process discipline.
Use customer segmentation, usage trends, and lifecycle insights to prioritize outreach and identify high-propensity accounts.
Create tailored follow-up strategies to move deals forward, uncover additional needs, and increase product adoption depth.
Customer Engagement & Collaboration
Engage customers virtually and, where applicable, in person to deeply understand their needs and communicate the value of expansion solutions.
Partner with Account Management, Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Support teams to provide a coordinated customer experience.
Influence decisions with a consultative, value-based sales approach designed to achieve win-win outcomes.
Support account teams by surfacing expansion motions and collaborating on joint strategies for complex accounts.
Market & Product Expertise
Develop expert-level knowledge of the martech ecosystem, messaging technologies, compliance (e.g. SMS regulations), and competitive landscape.
Stay up to date on Intuit Mailchimp product launches, pricing updates, and best practices across email, SMS, and automation.
Act as a trusted advisor to customers by providing messaging strategy, channel recommendations, and marketing best practices.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in sales, account management, or revenue-generating roles, ideally in SaaS, martech, or messaging technologies.
Proven success meeting or exceeding revenue targets in upsell, consultative, or full-cycle sales environments.
Strong business acumen with the ability to discuss ROI, cost drivers, and technical integrations confidently with stakeholders.
Skilled in pipeline management, opportunity qualification, and value-selling frameworks.
Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills—comfortable discussing commercial terms, usage volumes, and scaling strategies.
High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-moving environment with evolving priorities.
Experience with marketing automation, email/SMS workflows, or customer engagement platforms is highly advantageous.
