Come join Intuit as a Software Engineer 1 on the mission-critical Tax Preparation Data Management (TPDM) team in the Consumer Group! This global platform serves several Intuit products and millions of users.
In this role, you will work under the guidance of senior engineers to deliver core platform capabilities that enable durable use cases and accelerate business innovation.

Responsibilities
As an SWE I, you will be heavily involved in development, with roughly 95% hands-on coding.
Develop & Deliver: Contribute to delivering high quality platform capability within the Tax Preparation Platform using software engineering best practices.
Quality Assurance: Contribute to early quality activities, including creating unit tests (TDD approach), and participating in peer reviews of code and designs.
Operational Excellence: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve defects/bugs across QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches, ensuring high operational uptime.
Collaboration: Partner effectively with all team members (Engineers, Product Managers, etc.) to drive results and deliver against commitments.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation (requirements, design specifications) for services and features.
Qualifications
BS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application.
Experience with Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot framework.
An understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
An understanding of GraphQL and REST APIs.
Proficiency in unit testing principles and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Self-Starter and Can-Do attitude with a strong desire to learn, grow, and apply new technical skills in platform and service to deliver for customers.
Commitment to team success and positive team dynamics.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical ideas clearly.
