The Intuit Design System (IDS) is a company-wide design system that accelerates Intuit’s mission by delivering innovative and foundational design system guidelines, tools, and services that support Intuit designers and developers across TurboTax, QuickBooks, Mailchimp, Credit Karma, and many other Intuit offerings.
To help us achieve this, we are seeking a Senior Design Technologist to join a new team focused on establishing an AI-assisted Design Platform. In this role, you'll be an early member of a small team focused on creating a platform of tools and experiences that will speed up the work of design through the application of artificial intelligence.
Responsibilities
Design and develop AI-accelerated solutions for the Intuit Design Platform, harnessing user insights and data to define success metrics and validate solutions.
Collaborate with designers and other partners to transform design concepts into code, maintaining a strong focus on performance and high-quality implementation.
Bridge design and engineering teams, supporting the development of solutions using Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Conversational User Interfaces (CUI).
Integrate external tools and processes and securely embed the Intuit Design System into the platform, ensuring consistent and unified design standards.
Define technical roadmaps for the platform, championing iterative improvements to design systems, tooling, accessibility, and processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience
At least 5 years of experience in a mix of design and technology roles.
You should have a strong understanding of AI concepts (LLMs, NLUs, CUIs, APIs, data), including what can be achieved with AI and how to deliver AI-assisted tooling and workflows.
Deep experience working in frontend web technologies (HTML, CSS, React/TS), tooling (Figma plugins), and Generative AI APIs.
Proven experience in crafting prototypes that seamlessly integrate complex technologies and capabilities such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) and real data sets that drive product innovation.
Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to influence within the design system team and with teams adopting our design system.
Strong knowledge of accessibility both in design and code.
Thorough understanding of the creative development processes and product development lifecycle.
Proven track record of delivery and shipping reusable or componentized code.
