Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

The Mission

Small businesses fuel the global economy. In the US alone, they employ 60% of the workforce and create 80% of new jobs. Yet, the odds are stacked against them: one in two fails within five years. One of the most severe challenges a small business faces is managing their cash flow: balancing inflows and outflows, late customer payments, funding growth, and making payroll, all while hoping there is enough left over for profit or a rainy day.

Getting paid should be simple, fast, and reliable—but too often it isn’t. Late payments, failed transactions, and clunky checkout experiences slow businesses down when they can least afford it.

At QuickBooks Payments, our mission is to help businesses get paid faster and more reliably by making the payment experience seamless for their customers. Checkout is where that mission succeeds or fails.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Staff Product Manager to own Checkout Foundations for QuickBooks Payments.

This role owns the core checkout platform that powers how millions of consumers and businesses complete payments across invoices, payment links, estimates, and future embedded checkout experiences. You will shape the foundation that will enable all future innovations in checkout.

This is a highly strategic, high-leverage role. Your work directly impacts customer trust, conversion rates, authorization success, and billions of dollars in Total Payments Volume (TPV).

Responsibilities

  • Define the Strategy: Set the multi-year vision and roadmap for Checkout Portal. You will define how checkout evolves to be faster, more reliable, more extensible, and more personalized—balancing near-term conversion gains with long-term platform scalability.
  • Owen the Business Outcomes: Drive the metrics that matter most, including checkout conversion and transactions paid via Intuit. You will use data to identify the highest-leverage improvements and opprtunities across multiple areas.
  • Execute with Rigor and Excellence: Lead end-to-end product execution from discovery to launch. You will pressure-test ideas and hypothesis, manage complex edge cases, and ensure high quality in one of Intuit’s most critical, revenue-impacting systems.
  • Champion the Customer: Utilize advanced analytics and direct customer feedback and research to identify friction in the checkout process. You will be the voice of the SMBs and their payors, ensuring checkout works for real-world scenarios.

Qualifications

  • A Product Veteran: 7+ years of product management experience; ideally with Payments and checkout background.
  • Strategic & Influential: You have exceptional executive presence. You can translate market insights into actionable strategy and effectively align C-level stakeholders and technical teams around a shared vision.
  • A Proven Growth Driver: You have a track record of leading complex initiatives that resulted in significant business growth. You understand the levers of TPV and user acquisition and know how to pull them.
  • Highly Analytical:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to diagnose funnel friction, evaluate tradeoffs, measure impact, and guide prioritization. Experience working with metrics such as conversion, reliability, and performance is a plus.

  • Customer Obsessed:
Deep empathy for customers and a commitment to understanding real user behavior through research, data, and direct feedback. Consistently advocates for solving meaningful customer problems rather than just shipping features.

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach.
