Job Overview

Come join the QuickBooks Marketing team as a Marketing Manager, Paid Search. This individual contributor role is responsible for driving full-funnel paid search strategy and execution to accelerate QuickBooks US growth. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, Paid Search, this role partners closely with agencies, platform partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver measurable business impact.

This position is based in San Diego and requires 3 days per week onsite.


Responsibilities

• Own paid search strategy and day-to-day execution across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, and Search Ads 360, aligned to acquisition, conversion, and revenue goals.

• Assist in the creation of SEM strategies including insights generation, experimentation, measurement, and reporting to optimize performance across the customer journey.

• Optimize KPIs to maximize ROI while managing budgets and pacing within weekly and monthly constraints.

• Partner with agency teams to manage seven-figure monthly budgets and optimize toward CAC/CPA, ROAS, revenue, and LTV-based targets.

• Monitor competitive and auction dynamics to protect and grow branded and non-branded presence on the SERP; leverage third-party tools (e.g., Adthena) to inform counter-strategies.

• Ensure campaigns leverage modern platform best practices including Smart Bidding and value-based bidding, RSAs, audience signals, personalization, and keyword expansion. Conduct account and campaign audits to identify technical, structural, and performance improvement opportunities.

• Manage and optimize Google Shopping (PLA) campaigns, including feed health, performance monitoring, and efficiency improvements.

• Deliver clear, actionable insights and recommendations that translate performance data into business outcomes.

• Partner cross-functionally to plan, execute, and measure integrated marketing programs.

• Leverage GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini) to streamline workflows including analysis, experimentation, and documentation.

• Strong understanding of tracking, tagging, and measurement frameworks. Be able to interpret platform and third-party data and translate it into meaningful commercial impact for the business.

• Support weekly and monthly finance reporting and billing processes including spend tracking, pacing, and reconciliation.

• Present performance updates, insights, and recommendations to internal stakeholders and leadership.

Creative/Landing Page Optimization: Lead the testing roadmap for ad copy and landing page experiences, partnering with Creative and Product teams to maximize conversion rates (CVR) and on-site experience.

Budgeting Foresight: Develop annual and quarterly budget recommendations, incorporating market growth projections and new product launches.


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Business, Marketing, Statistics, or Mathematics.

• 4–5 years of hands-on digital marketing experience with strong emphasis on SEM/PPC.

• Deep expertise in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Search Ads 360; Google Ads certifications preferred.

• Proven experience driving measurable business results through performance marketing.

• Experience with analytics and reporting tools such as GA4, Adobe Analytics; BI tools like Looker or Tableau a plus.

• Strong analytical, budget management, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience optimizing campaigns across desktop, mobile, and tablet.

• Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is:

Southern California $ 120,000- 162,000
