Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

Intuit’s Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) serves over 2 million small businesses and self-employed customers worldwide. Our vision is to be the connected end-to-end platform that small and medium-sized businesses rely on every day to run and grow their businesses—helping them double revenue and double profitability.

The Sales Analytics team drives user and revenue growth for Intuit’s Small Business Group by harnessing advanced analytics, experimentation, and strategic insights to shape sales strategy at scale. We partner closely with Sales, Operations, Sales Tech, Finance, Product Management, and Engineering to solve high-impact business problems.

We are seeking a Staff Data Scientist to play a critical leadership role in advancing our Money Sales programs, including invoicing, bill creation, payments, and lending solutions. This role will shape how data drives decision-making for a critical QuickBooks sales channel, influence sales strategy and roadmaps, and establish best-in-class analytical and experimentation frameworks across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the analytics vision for key sales initiatives, influencing sales strategy, roadmaps, and investment decisions through data-driven recommendations.

  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Product, and Engineering to define success metrics, frame ambiguous problems, and align analytics with business outcomes.

  • Act as a thought leader for sales analytics, shaping how data is used to guide territory design, incentive planning, forecasting, and productivity.

  • Develop and apply advanced analytical methodologies and predictive models across large-scale, diverse datasets to drive growth and optimize sales performance.

  • Lead deep-dive analyses of sales campaigns, agent behavior, funnel performance, and product usage to uncover actionable opportunities.

  • Lead end-to-end sales experimentation, including hypothesis development, experimental design, configuration, analysis, visualization, and action planning.

  • Design and implement advanced experimentation methods (e.g., synthetic controls, causal inference, quasi-experimental designs) to establish causality and accurately measure impact.

  • Develop scalable dashboards, analytical frameworks, and self-service tools to democratize access to insights and improve decision velocity.

  • Mentor and influence junior data scientists and analysts, raising the bar for technical rigor, storytelling, and business impact.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in data science or analytics roles, with a strong preference for sales, product, care, or go-to-market analytics.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex transformations, segmentation, aggregation, and experience working with modern data warehouses (e.g., Databricks, Redshift, SparkSQL, Athena).

  • Strong hands-on experience with experimentation, including statistical design, analysis, and interpretation at scale.

  • Proficiency in Python or R for statistical analysis and modeling.

  • Expertise in data visualization and storytelling, with tools such as Tableau, Qlik (or similar), and the ability to clearly communicate insights to executive audiences.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to influence without authority.

  • Familiarity with financial services or payments ecosystems (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, Square) is a plus
