We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

The Data Acquisition Platform Manager will lead a critical platform within Intuit Data Exchange (IDX), responsible for acquiring, ingesting, and normalizing data from thousands of external sources at scale. This role owns the strategy, execution, and operational excellence of systems that power secure, reliable, and compliant data flows across Intuit products.

You will lead a team of engineers and work closely with Product, Architecture, Security, Compliance, and Partner teams to ensure the platform meets the needs of the business while maintaining high standards of reliability, performance, and data stewardship.

Responsibilities

Platform & Technical Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end data acquisition platform, including connectors, ingestion pipelines, transformation, and validation layers.

  • Drive platform scalability, reliability, and performance to support millions of users and high-volume data flows.

  • Partner with architects and senior engineers to define technical direction, standards, and long-term platform roadmap.

  • Ensure best practices in system design, observability, incident management, and operational readiness.

People Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, learning, and technical excellence.

  • Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and support career growth aligned with Intuit’s values.

  • Build and scale high-performing teams through hiring, onboarding, and talent development.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Management to translate business and customer needs into platform capabilities and priorities.

  • Collaborate with Security, Privacy, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure data acquisition meets regulatory and internal requirements.

  • Work closely with partner-facing and ecosystem teams to support onboarding and ongoing integration of external data providers.

Execution & Delivery

  • Own delivery commitments for platform initiatives, balancing feature development, tech debt reduction, and operational work.

  • Drive continuous improvement in development velocity, quality, and reliability.

  • Lead incident response and postmortems, ensuring learnings are applied to prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in an engineering management role.

  • Strong background in distributed systems, data platforms, or large-scale integrations.

  • Experience leading teams that build and operate high-availability, high-throughput services.

  • Solid understanding of APIs, data ingestion patterns, event-driven systems, and cloud-native architectures.

  • Proven ability to collaborate across product, architecture, and operational partners.

Preferred

  • Experience with data aggregation, data exchange, or fintech platforms.

  • Familiarity with security, privacy, and compliance considerations in data-intensive systems.

  • Experience operating platforms with external partners or third-party integrations.

  • Background working in highly regulated environments.
