WHO WE ARE

Come join the Futures Group as part of the design team. We combine design, customer insights and tech to explore and create native AI apps and platform capabilities through research, experimentation, and building proof of concepts. AI Technology is changing rapidly and we’re looking at new emerging technology capabilities like agents, multimodal AI, voice interaction, ambient intelligence, mixed reality, and AI/ML driven platforms to design the next generation of user experiences that can power prosperity for our customers and small businesses.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PRINCIPAL DESIGN TECHNOLOGIST
We are looking for futurists, design hackers, pragmatists and unconventional thinkers to bridge the gap between conceptual design and emerging technologies and platforms. You’re a maker and not afraid to take on complex challenges that lead to paradigm shifting ideas. Your medium of expression is through technology and prototyping that helps solve big customer problems while leveraging emerging, new interaction patterns and design trends. You thrive in ambiguity and are a great creative systems thinker. You’ll be part of a small design team dedicated to proving and creating game changing user experiences that will help power prosperity for our customers.


Responsibilities

  • Strong skills and experience in effective collaboration and technical problem solving within multidisciplinary teams

  • Actively participate in concept development and design ideation

  • Develop functional prototypes to prove out concepts and influence development teams and senior leadership

  • Discover new tools to help build prototypes in emerging new user experiences

  • Advance understanding of platform and technical capabilities and limitations as you help be bridge relationship between design and engineering

  • Rapidly build and iterate on low and high-fidelity prototypes that conveys the design concept using the best and most appropriate tools and techniques

  • Provides support on tool selection and best practices. Analyzes existing and planned releases for usability


Qualifications

  • Proven ability to lead explorations and innovate within and extend current technology through prototypes

  • Strong understanding of design needs and user centered design approach

  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills

  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly

  • Experience and passion for developing visually polished, engaging and highly fluid user interfaces and hardware prototypes

  • History of building prototypes to advance design thinking and the final product experience

  • Strong familiarity in a variety of design tools such as Figma

  • 8+ years of experience in a creative technologist, front-end developer or UX Proto-typer role

  • 2+ years experience with developing prototypes using Ai native tools

  • BS in Computer Science or Human Computer Interaction or equivalent professional experience


Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. This position may be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is:

Bay Area: $179,500 - $243,000

Southern California: $173,000- $234,000
