Intuit's Consumer Group (CG) is dedicated to helping individuals and businesses manage their taxes with ease and confidence. The group's vision is to ensure that everyone, regardless of their tax situation, can complete their taxes efficiently and access their money quickly. The Consumer Group is responsible for the development and management of TurboTax, a leading tax preparation software that supports both do-it-yourself and assisted modes of tax preparation. The group focuses on creating seamless and innovative tax filing experiences, leveraging AI and GenAI technologies to transform the process.

Intuit’s Consumer Group (CG) Organization is seeking a passionate, results-oriented, and strategic technical program leader to join the growing Technical Program Management team, and provide strategic and managerial leadership for a business-critical portfolio of programs supporting TurboTax. This Technical Program Management (TPM) leader role will manage, develop, and scale a high-performing team of Technical Program Managers while setting the vision, priorities, and operating model for the team and the portfolio across multiple organizations. This leader will also drive the development and adoption of modernized platform capabilities and AI enabled product experiences for TurboTax, with accountability for setting direction, driving alignment across platform and product teams, and ensuring strong execution outcomes in a complex, multi-organizational environment. As a senior TPM leader, this role also serves as a craft leader within the broader TPM leadership community across Intuit, with responsibility for elevating TPM craft excellence, shaping best practices, and helping scale the TPM discipline as the organization grows.

The right candidate for this role is someone who has a strong technical, strategic background in an agile environment, is invigorated by working within a large, complex organization, and has superpower abilities to communicate and influence at all levels. They will have a relentless focus on the customer, drive execution and outcomes in the face of ambiguity, use data to inform decision making, and be strategically focused on building durable platform and product solutions for our most important customer problems.


Responsibilities

  • Build and Develop Teams: Lead, manage, and develop a team of 6–8 Technical Program Managers, setting a clear vision, operating principles, and priorities for the TPM team while fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous growth

  • Hire and Onboard Talent: Own hiring and onboarding for the TPM team, including defining role expectations, making hiring decisions, and ensuring the team is appropriately staffed to meet current and future business needs

  • Coach and Mentor: Provide regular performance feedback, coaching, and career guidance with empathy, driving individual and team craft development to set a high bar and create an environment where TPMs can do the best work of their lives

  • Lead the Charge: Spearhead multi-organizational programs, uniting diverse leaders and initiatives to achieve singular, impactful outcomes

  • Align with Strategy: Steer program outcomes to align seamlessly with Intuit's overarching technical and business strategy

  • Drive Customer Value: Partner closely with stakeholders to ensure the team focuses on the highest priority programs, delivering maximum value to our customers

  • Empower Success: Design program and portfolio structures that enable multi-organizational and distributed teams to collaborate seamlessly and deliver exceptional results

  • Orchestrate Excellence: Masterfully manage program dependencies, reporting, and senior leader communications, ensuring transparency and alignment

  • Set the Standard: Define and implement multi-organizational product and operational standards, dashboards, and processes that drive efficiency and effectiveness. Viewed as a thought leader for program craft excellence.

  • Maintain Transparency: Develop and implement effective mechanisms for keeping key stakeholders informed on portfolio progress, risks, and issues, and drive timely escalation and resolution where needed

  • Foster Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of continuous improvement across multi-organizational program teams, propelling product and operational excellence

  • Spark Innovation: Drive and challenge discussions with experts, fostering a collaborative environment where optimal outcomes are achieved

  • Share Insights: Enrich the team with valuable outside-in learnings, staying ahead of industry trends and best practices

  • Build Bridges: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders across Product Development, Product Management, Design, Marketing, and Customer Success

    • Strengthen the TPM Community: Actively contribute to and help shape the broader TPM community across Intuit by mentoring other TPM leaders, cross-pollinating ways of working, and influencing the evolution of TPM best practices

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in SaaS product development and release management with direct experience working with multiple scrum teams using Agile

  • 3+ years experience leading a team of technical program managers

  • Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity; adapt to and manage change quickly

  • Thrive and drive outcomes employing a culture of ownership, delivery, and innovation founded on Intuit’s values

  • Ability to traverse cross-functionally both vertically and horizontally in a large organization

  • Excellent balance of people, organizational, and technical skills, and can execute and deliver successfully in situations where authority is not a given

  • Ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbal

  • Effective presenter, negotiator, collaborator - regardless of organizational structure or hierarchy and with equal passion for business and technology

  • Ability to handle a rapidly changing environment

  • Professional, team player with strong leadership and interpersonal skills

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent technical experience required

  • PMP or PgMP Certification desired


Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is:

Southern California $ 190,000- 257,500
