About Corporate Strategy and Development
Intuit's Corporate Strategy and Development team works on highly visible, key acquisition and strategy initiatives. The team is focused on identifying, evaluating and executing on opportunities to drive growth and/or operational excellence for Intuit and its portfolio of businesses. The work mirrors the work found at top venture capital/private equity firms, investment banks and strategy consulting firms. Key activities include evaluating M&A opportunities, investigating strategic opportunities, designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research and analyses, and presenting findings to corporate leadership.
The Senior Principal of Corporate Development position offers significant exposure to senior leaders across the company and meaningful ownership over high-impact strategic and transactional initiatives.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end M&A transactions, including inorganic strategy development, market and competitive scans, target sourcing, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and deal execution
Operate as the primary owner for complex transactions, driving strategy, execution, and outcomes with a high degree of autonomy
Manage comprehensive due diligence processes in partnership with Finance, Legal, Product, Technology, HR, Tax, and other key functions
Assess strategic fit, financial returns, and risk across a wide range of transaction types (early-stage through large, complex acquisitions)
Prepare high-quality written narratives and presentations for senior executives, including the executive team and Board-level discussions
Coordinate closely with the Integration team to ensure effective planning and execution post-close
Drive alignment across multiple stakeholders and workstreams while maintaining deal momentum
Build and maintain a strong external network of founders, venture capital and private equity investors, investment bankers, and advisors
Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, venture capital/private equity, strategy consulting, or related roles
Demonstrated experience leading M&A transactions independently from strategy formulation through close
MBA or equivalent experience desired
Exceptional financial, valuation, and analytical skills with strong business judgment
Proven ability to manage senior internal and external stakeholders across complex, high-pressure situations
Superior written and verbal communication, presentation, and meeting facilitation skills
Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence
Track record of thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with high attention to detail

Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is: $220,500 - $298,000
