Job Overview
Intuit is a global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With 100M+ customers using TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe every business should have the opportunity to grow through smarter marketing, better data, and thoughtful automation.
We are looking for a Group Product Manager for the Marketing Data Platform product area for Mailchimp. This team owns the foundational platform for customer data, segmentation, and personalization capabilities that power Mailchimp’s omnichannel, AI-driven marketing experiences across email, SMS, WhatsApp, and emerging channels.
In this role, you will define the strategy for how customer data is organized, activated, and scaled across Mailchimp. You’ll lead a team of product managers responsible for the core platform capabilities that help millions of marketers understand their audiences, target them, and deliver personalized marketing capabilities from campaigns and journeys to reporting, predictive insights, and agentic AI experiences.
This is a high-impact, highly visible role at the heart of Mailchimp’s marketing and AI strategy.
Responsibilities
Product Vision & Strategy
Define and communicate a clear, compelling vision for the customer, subscriber, and targeting capabilities within the Marketing Data Platform.
Translate company and portfolio strategy into actionable roadmaps that support omnichannel marketing, personalization, and AI-powered / agentic experiences.
Balance near-term product needs with longer-term platform investments that increase reusability, performance, and scalability for both human users and AI systems.
Customer, Data, & AI Insight
Develop deep empathy for small and mid-sized businesses and the marketers who use Mailchimp to grow.
Partner with Research, Analytics, and Customer Success to understand how customers organize their data, build segments, and activate audiences today—and where AI can simplify, guide, and automate their work.
Use customer insight, data usage patterns, and market trends in MarTech/CDP and AI to identify opportunities for smarter defaults, recommendations, and “done-for-you” experiences.
Platform, Data, & AI Enablement
Lead the evolution of targeting and contact management at Mailchimp into robust platform capabilities used by multiple product teams, channels, and AI services.
Partner with engineering, data, and architecture leaders to define clear data models, APIs, and services that enable reliable reuse across the product and safe consumption by AI agents and assistants.
Ensure audience and segmentation capabilities are designed with governance, consent, and privacy as first-class requirements, including for AI-driven features.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Lead a team of product managers and collaborate closely with engineering, design, data science, CX, and go-to-market partners.
Work with AI/ML and analytics teams to ensure your platform exposes the right signals, contracts, and performance characteristics for predictive and agentic use cases.
Align stakeholders around priorities, trade-offs, and rollout plans for major initiatives, from new segmentation capabilities to cross-channel audience features and AI-powered workflows.
Represent the team and product portfolio in planning forums and leadership discussions, providing clarity on strategy, progress, and risks.
Execution & Operational Excellence
Drive high-quality execution across multiple teams, ensuring clear goals, scoped milestones, and strong communication.
Establish and manage portfolio-level OKRs/KPIs, focusing on customer impact, platform adoption, reliability, internal developer efficiency, and AI feature enablement.
Guide teams through complex, multi-release programs (e.g., new data capabilities, model integrations, or cross-product experiences) with clarity and rigor.
Team Development & Product Craft
Hire, mentor, and develop PMs at varying levels, helping them grow in impact, autonomy, and product excellence.
Set a high bar for product craft across discovery, prioritization, experimentation, and stakeholder management, including how teams think about AI opportunities and responsible AI use.
Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and customer-centric decision making within the teams.
Qualifications
8–10+ years of product management experience, including significant time working on platform, data, or infrastructure products in SaaS or MarTech environments.
Proven experience leading data- or platform-centric product areas that support multiple product teams and/or external developers.
Exposure to or experience with AI/ML-powered products (e.g., recommendations, predictive models, assistants, or agentic workflows), and a track record of partnering with AI/ML teams to bring these to market.
Demonstrated success managing and developing product management talent, including senior ICs, and leading teams through complex, multi-quarter initiatives.
Strong technical fluency: comfortable discussing data models, APIs, system architecture, and model integration patterns with engineering and data leaders, and translating technical concepts into clear product decisions.
Background in customer data platforms, segmentation, marketing automation, or related domains is strongly preferred.
Ability to shape multi-year strategy while driving disciplined execution and measurable results in the near term.
Data-driven mindset: experience defining and using product and business metrics (e.g., adoption, engagement, performance, retention, AI feature usage) to guide prioritization and measure impact.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing senior leaders and aligning diverse teams around shared goals.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience); advanced degree a plus.
