Company Overview

Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.

Job Overview

Lead Sanctions Product Advisory & Monitoring is a critical "second line of defense" role. You will be the primary liaison between the Sanctions Compliance function and the Business/Product teams. Your mission is to ensure that new financial products and global partnerships are launched with robust, scalable sanctions controls, while maintaining a rigorous testing environment to ensure existing controls remain effective.

Responsibilities

Product & Partnership Advisory

  • New Offering Onboarding: Lead sanctions compliance requirements buildout for all new products, services, and geographic expansions. Define mandatory "Sanctions Guardrails" for engineering and product teams.

  • Bank Partnership Requests: Act as the lead for sanctions due diligence requests with prospective banking and fintech partners

Control Design & Monitoring

  • Control Testing: Design and execute a periodic testing roadmap for sanctions screening systems

  • Technology & Scaling: Build out automated AI driven monitoring controls to change "how" we monitor sanctions control effectiveness

  • Screening Decommissioning: Strategically oversee the retirement of legacy business lines and controls.

Governance & Program Management

  • ECB Program Management: Manage the Embargo Country Blocking(ECB) reporting cycle, providing senior leadership with data-driven insights into the sanctions risk landscape.

Audit & Exam Response: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for sanctions controls during internal audits and external regulatory examinations. Document control effectiveness and key contributor to outlining the needs of remediation of any identified findings.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 7+ years in Sanctions Compliance, Financial Crime, or Risk Management within Banking or Fintech.

  • Sanctions Knowledge: Deep understanding of US, CA, UK, and EU sanctions regulations. Experience with screening technology (e.g., Accuity, Bridger, FICO, or proprietary ML models).

  • Problem Solving: Ability to navigate the "gray areas" of sanctions to provide commercially viable yet compliant solutions.

  • Communication: Proven ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear "user stories" for product managers and engineers.

  • Sanctions Certification such as ACAMS or other relevant certification.

Why This Role?

Unlike traditional "back-office" compliance, this role is embedded in the growth engine of the company. You aren't just saying "no"; you are defining how we say "yes" safely to the next generation of financial innovation.
