The Sales Manager, Revenue Expansion leads a high-performing team of Growth Specialists responsible for driving expansion revenue across Intuit Mailchimp’s Emerging Mid-Market Base. This leader will oversee the strategy, execution, and performance of all expansion motions—including SMS, transactional messaging, advanced automation solutions, and other revenue-driving add-ons.
This role is responsible for building, coaching, and scaling a team that consistently uncovers opportunities, delivers a best-in-class consultative sales experience, and meets or exceeds quarterly expansion revenue targets.
The Sales Manager, Revenue Expansion partners closely with Account Management, Sales Leadership, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure a coordinated, data-driven approach to accelerating customer value and revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Leadership & People Management
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Growth Specialists to achieve individual and team revenue targets.
Develop a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous learning, and customer-centricity.
Provide regular performance coaching, territory reviews, deal support, and skill development aligned to value selling, opportunity qualification, and commercial negotiation.
Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members as the function grows.Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment that encourages innovation and shared success.
Revenue Ownership & Strategy
Own quarterly and annual expansion revenue goals across SMS, transactional email/SMS, and related products.
Build the team’s go-to-market approach for prioritizing accounts, identifying growth signals, and optimising outreach strategies.
Analyse pipeline trends, forecast accurately, and drive execution against business targets.
Partner with Sales Ops and Finance to ensure forecasting accuracy, pipeline quality, and effective territory/account distribution.
Identify barriers to growth and implement repeatable, scalable processes that enable consistent performance across the team.
Sales Excellence & Operational Rigor
Establish and reinforce best practices in discovery, value articulation, commercial conversation handling, and deal progression.
Maintain exceptionally high standards of CRM hygiene and operational discipline across the team.
Conduct regular pipeline reviews and deal strategy sessions to improve win rates and accelerate cycle times.
Identify opportunities to refine or introduce playbooks, talk tracks, scripts, and data-driven workflows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Customer Success, and Marketing to design integrated campaigns and lifecycle programs that surface expansion opportunities.
Collaborate with Product and Product Marketing to communicate market needs, share customer insights, and stay up to date on feature launches and pricing changes.
Serve as a voice of the customer, bringing feedback loops and insights into product planning and messaging strategy.
Work closely with leadership across Intuit Mailchimp to align expansion motions with broader commercial strategy.
Market & Product Expertise
Develop expert-level understanding of the martech ecosystem, messaging technologies, compliance requirements, and competitive landscape
Provide thought leadership and strategic direction on messaging adoption, value drivers, and scaling patterns.
Ensure the team remains knowledgeable on Mailchimp’s messaging and automation solutions, positioning them effectively against customer workflows and ROI need
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in SaaS sales, SMS sales, account management, or related revenue functions; at least 2+ years leading teams or mentoring reps with measurable coaching outcomes.
Proven success managing or contributing to significant expansion revenue targets within a subscription-based business.
Skilled people leader with the ability to inspire, coach, and drive consistent performance across a team.
Strong command of consultative selling, qualification frameworks, sales methodologies, and commercial negotiation.
Strong analytical and forecasting skills; comfortable using data to drive decisions and improve team execution.
Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder-management skills across cross-functional groups.
Experience in martech, messaging/SMS, or customer engagement platforms is a significant advantage.
