Responsibilities

? Collaboration and Leadership: Foster collaboration outside the organization,

leading cross-team initiatives and engagements with external partners,

clients, or industry groups to drive innovation and mutually beneficial technical

advances.

? Take the lead in driving cross-team initiatives, leveraging technical expertise

and leadership to foster cooperation and shared success across diverse

teams and projects within the organization and, where appropriate, with

external entities.

? Leading the gathering of functional requirements, developing technical

specifications, and project & test planning

? Acting as the technical subject matter expert: Mentoring fellow engineers,

demonstrating technical expertise, and leading a small team solving

challenging programming and design problems

? Roughly 60% hands-on coding

? Builds effective internal and external relationships that are essential to

delivering a quality software product or service.

? Stay aware of industry trends and make technology choices and strategic

decisions. Subject matter expert on web technologies

? Generate technical documentation and PowerPoint presentations to

communicate architectural and design options, and educate development

teams and business users

? Ability to take a vague customer problem and solve it end to end with

accountability.

Qualifications

? BS/MS in Computer Science or related area or equivalent experience

? 10+ years total experience delivering enterprise class web applications.

? 5+ years of experience in design and implementation of robust and highly

scalable services

? Practical experience in microservices & messaging technologies (REST,

GraphQL, Kubernetes, Kafka, ActiveMQ)

? Solid foundation in writing scalable web application code following best

practices of accessibility, internationalization and instrumentation.

? Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the

web and mobile.

? Solid knowledge of algorithms and design patterns.

? 5+ years of JavaScript application design and testing experience

? 7+ Experience in mid-tier like Node and Java

? Experience with test automation: TDD, unit/integration/functional testing.

? Experience with Relational Database Design and Implementation

? Experience in UI frameworks like React, Backbone, Angular

? Business Acumen - strategic thinking & strategy development.

? Passionate about CI/CD pipelines

? Be able to mentor junior developers within the team.
