Job Overview

Intuit’s Consumer Group, including TurboTax, empowers millions of individuals to take control of their finances. TurboTax simplifies tax preparation and enables our customers to file with confidence. We leverage data and insights to innovate and enhance our consumer offerings. Now, we are expanding our focus to Consumer Lending within the Consumer Group, including TurboTax, and require a strong performer to join our Credit Risk Analysts. This role will be crucial in supporting our consumer lending initiatives, while navigating the complexities of Fintech Risk, alongside our core tax preparation business. If you are passionate about building that drives results through data-driven insights in consumer lending spaces, and understands the unique risks within Fintech, this role is for you.


Responsibilities

Develop complex credit strategy proposals for front end credit risk management. Use data-driven storytelling to build compelling cases and persuade diverse audiences.
Apply strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to build sound assumptions, validate hypotheses, and structure proposals within a clear, logical framework.
Manage and monitor policy and portfolio performance, extracting meaningful insights and preparing reports that drive alignment and action among stakeholders and senior leadership.
Foster an innovative mindset by continuously identifying opportunities in credit, product experience, customer targeting, and beyond; to drive growth and simplify processes.
Demonstrate ownership and leadership by collaborating with cross-functional partners (product development, product management, marketing, data engineering, compliance, underwriting, etc.) to design new products and expand market share.
Influence and align cross-functional teams to transform ideas into tangible business outcomes.
Work closely with data science, underwriting, and data engineering teams to enhance customer segmentation, develop innovative credit strategies, and conduct portfolio analyses.
Leverage big data technologies to analyze large-scale transactional data, turning insights into actionable opportunities for credit risk management and business growth.
Design, implement, and monitor tests to explore new methodologies, measure key metrics, and refine acquisition strategies and credit policies.


Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in fraud operations or fraud analytics, preferably in fintech, banking
  • Strong understanding of fraud typologies relevant to consumer financial products (e.g., synthetic
    identity, phishing/ATO, 1st/3rd party fraud, ACH disputes)., 1st/3rd party fraud, ACH disputes).
  • Experience with fraud tools and platforms (e.g., Alloy, Sift, Ekata, Kount, etc.)
  • Proficiency in analyzing fraud data using SQL and/or Excel; familiarity with Looker or other BI tools
    is a plus.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations and fraud return codes (e.g., ACH NACHA rules, Reg E,
    KYC/AML basics).
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
    Nice to Have
  • Experience in fraud for digital banking, challenger banks, or fintech products.
  • Exposure to fraud rules management or machine learning-based detection systems.
  • Prior work with ACH return reason codes, dispute handling, or chargeback processes.
