Job Overview
Come join the Small Business Group (SBG) AI team as a Senior Staff Product Manager. Our mission is to power prosperity for small/mid-sized businesses, self-employed, and accountants by building cohesive agentic AI experiences—wherever and however they work.
You’ll leverage the latest AI technologies to deliver reusable AI skills and tools that power the entire QuickBooks platform. You will define high-quality end-to-end experiences that span multiple products and domains, ensuring that our AI features are durable, reusable, and impactful. You will directly partner with engineers and designers to experiment and launch experiences that serve small and mid-market businesses with emerging AI technologies.
Responsibilities
Rapid delivery:Lead a cross-functional team of product developers, data scientists, marketers, data analysts, and experience designers to innovate, experiment, and create AI experiences to deliver step-change customer benefit and QuickBooks customer growth.
Cross-Capability Durability: Define strategies that ensure AI skills are not just functional, but reusable across the entire annual product strategy and roadmap.
E2E Experience Ownership: Design high-quality E2E product experiences for customers that bridge multiple products and capabilities (e.g., ensuring an AI skill works seamlessly across accounting and payroll use cases).
Strategic Problem Solving: Use data, AI methodology, and domain expertise to solve complex problems and align multiple teams toward a target outcome.
Technical Translation: Partner closely with engineering and architecture to translate business requirements into technical decisions and trade-offs, maintaining an AI-first mindset.
Organizational Acceleration: Accelerate cross-functional execution by creating and evangelizing AI-prototyped experiences that set a clear vision for what "great" looks like. Provide regular feedback and build data backed principles through rapid testing.
Strategic Roadmapping: Own the planning and delivery of a roadmap that drives results through collaboration across product teams and functions.
Set KPIs for driving customer delight that powers business outcomes, manage dependencies, escalate barriers to execution, and report research finding and progress to senior leadership
Qualifications
Product Veteran: 7+ years of product management experience with a track record of delivering 0 to 1 experiences from the ground up. You have specific expertise in building AI-native workflows leveraging generative AI, and ideally, the small business or mid-market space.
Complexity Management: Demonstrated ability to solve complex, strategic problems that require in-depth experience and influence across multiple teams.
Platform Mindset: Deep expertise in building durable capability strategies; you don't just build features, you build systems that scale.
Expert Storyteller: Exceptional ability to communicate and negotiate, building shared understanding across diverse teams through data-driven storytelling and AI prototyping.
Technical and design acumen: Experience partnering closely with product development and design teams to facilitate trade-offs between customer experience and technical feasibility. Frequently leads with a perspective on what makes a great customer experience.
Analytical Depth: Ability to analyze data with significant depth to identify patterns that can be leveraged to deliver superior customer and business outcomes.
AI Evangelist: You regularly experiment with emerging AI tools and act as a coach/mentor to others on AI experimentation and industry trends.
Growth Mindset: You cultivate an enjoyable work environment and foster a growth mindset. You are comfortable with ambiguity, view failure as a learning opportunity, and inspire cross-functional teams to think outside the box. You are self-aware with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve.
Undergraduate or graduate degree in data science, computer science, math or statistics, or a related discipline preferred; other degrees or equivalent professional experience will be considered.
