Intuit is seeking a Principal Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead complex, high-impact sourcing initiatives across marketing categories (e.g. Media, Creative, Production, PR, Social and Influencer Services etc). This is an individual contributor role for a senior sourcing professional who thrives in ambiguity, operates independently, and partners effectively with senior Marketing leaders. This role requires deep expertise in the marketing landscape, understanding its impact on business outcomes and total cost of ownership, with a focus on driving business transformation.
This role plays a critical part in enabling Intuit’s growth, operational excellence, and innovation. In this role, you will develop category strategies, lead negotiations, and manage critical supplier relationships across marketing services. You will connect third-party capabilities with Intuit’s value chain to optimize investments, manage risk, and unlock value across marketing teams. You will collaborate with senior leaders across Intuit to identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost optimization, and risk mitigation, ensuring best value from third-party investments. You’ll influence through expertise, data, and clear communication—remaining hands-on while driving measurable business outcomes.
This role requires a strategic, highly analytical leader and strong connector who can synthesize insights across third-party partners, Intuit’s value chain, and business outcomes to drive growth and innovation. You will develop and execute sourcing and category strategies, identify and quantify value opportunities, and lead RFx processes and complex vendor negotiations to deliver measurable impact.
Responsibilities
Category Leadership & Transformation
Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing and category strategies across key marketing areas, including Media, Creative, Social, Influencer Marketing, and Public Relations. Lead a portfolio of complex, high-impact initiatives that drive business and operating model transformation through innovative sourcing approaches, process optimization, and scalable governance.Strategic Sourcing
Own and lead end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives—from demand assessment and market analysis through sourcing strategy development, competitive processes (RFPs, RFQs), and supplier selection—to align with business objectives. Optimize total cost of ownership by evaluating commercial models, performance metrics, and risk, while maximizing long-term value through scalable solutions, strong governance, and outcome-based partnerships.
Complex Negotiation & Contracting
Lead high-stakes, high-value negotiations with global marketing suppliers to achieve best-in-class commercial outcomes and manage risk. Drive the development and negotiation of MSAs and SOWs in close partnership with Legal, Finance, Data Security, and other cross-functional stakeholders.Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
Design and lead a strategic SRM model to govern and strengthen critical supplier partnerships. Drive performance management through regular business reviews, data-driven scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost, delivery, and innovation.Strategic Business Partnership
Act as a trusted advisor and primary sourcing partner to senior Marketing leaders. Translate complex business needs into actionable sourcing strategies that support growth, innovation, and financial objectives.Data-Driven Value Creation
Leverage data, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to conduct spend analysis, scenario modeling, and sourcing evaluations. Build clear, fact-based business cases that quantify value, inform decision-making, and track measurable outcomes.Cross-Functional Program Leadership
Lead high-impact, cross-functional sourcing initiatives from strategy through execution, managing priorities, timelines, and stakeholder alignment to deliver results at scale.Process Optimization & Governance
Drive continuous improvement of sourcing processes and governance to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and ensure compliance.
Qualifications
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred
10+ years of strategic sourcing and category management experience
8+ years of hands-on marketing services sourcing experience
Proven ownership of enterprise-critical initiatives with executive visibility
Data, Digital & Analytics
Strong expertise in spend analytics, cost modeling, and should-cost analysis
Ability to translate complex data into clear, executive-ready insights
Hands-on experience with source-to-pay platforms (e.g., Coupa) and the end-to-end procurement lifecycle
Practical experience using AI-enabled and digital tools to improve sourcing effectiveness and efficiency

Negotiation & Contracting: Proven success leading complex, high-value negotiations and structuring MSAs and SOWs

Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location. To drive ongoing fair pay for employees, Intuit conducts regular comparisons across categories of ethnicity and gender. The expected base pay range for this position is: $183.000 - $248,000.
