Job Overview
Join the Intuit Customer Success team as a Staff Business Data Analyst focused on our Expert Network. In this role, you will define the analytics strategy to optimize our live experiences and professional network. You will be a central figure in driving large-scale data migration and strategy, ensuring our data infrastructure is robust, scalable, and transitions seamlessly from legacy systems to a future-ready target state.
As a Staff BDA, you will lead complex projects that translate business challenges into analytical frameworks. You will partner closely with Data Engineering, Product Management, and Strategy teams to build the data architecture and measurement methodologies that inform high-stakes business decisions and drive our AI-driven platform forward.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Migration & Mapping: Lead data architecture and instrumentation initiatives to map complex data from legacy systems into standardized, high-quality data products
- Analytical Strategy: Turn business strategy into defined analytical questions and sound hypotheses; develop KPI frameworks that set the direction for the Expert Network.
- Data Modeling & Lifecycle: Develop optimal, scalable data solutions and models with a "scale-first" mindset, ensuring rigorous data stewardship and compliance
- Advanced Insights & Storytelling: Drive insights and recommendations through compelling storytelling and visualizations, influencing cross-functional Directors and VPs.
- AI/GenAI Integration: Implement custom AI/GenAI business intelligence tools in partnership with the AI team to automate business processes and uncover deep operational insights.
- Project Leadership: Act as a project lead for large-scale initiatives, proactively identifying and mitigating technical or resource roadblocks to ensure end-to-end delivery.
- Collaboration: Provide thought partnership to senior business leaders on how to harness data to meet critical goals, while mentoring junior analysts to raise the bar on community standards.
Qualifications
- Education: BS or MS degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics) or equivalent professional experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced working knowledge of SQL and "big data" technologies such as Redshift, Spark, or BigQuery.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in business data analysis, with a proven track record in large-scale data projects and complex data mapping.
- Data Architecture: Demonstrated ability to lead data design and quality initiatives, effectively integrating disparate data sources into a cohesive target state.
- Strategic Thinking: Expert-level skill in breaking down business challenges into analytical frameworks and developing scenarios for success KPIs and assumptions.
- Tools: Advanced fluency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Qlik, Dash) and the ability to develop custom toolkits that improve analyst productivity across the organization.
- Communication: Exceptional business influence and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex statistical findings into actionable narratives for executive stakeholders.

Southern California Area: $144,000 - $195,000
Bay Area California: $163,000 - $220,500
