As a Principal, Workforce Location Strategy in our Places organization, you'll shape and drive Intuit's workforce location strategy to accelerate hiring of top talent and optimize team performance. You will understand Intuit’s talent strategy and needs and translate that into a global location strategy ensuring we’re positioned to hire the right talent to accelerate Intuit’s growth. You’ll also partner closely with senior business leaders to develop and optimize their business location plans and establish operating and governance mechanisms to ensure we deliver on our commitments. Finally, you’ll partner closely with the real estate team to ensure we have the right spaces to enable employees to do the best work of their lives.
We are building our workforce location strategy from the ground up, and we need an agile builder who thrives in ambiguity. This role is designed for a data-savvy problem solver who can influence across the organization and move effortlessly between high-level strategy and tactical execution to create this scalable, durable capability.
Responsibilities
Shape Intuit’s location strategy including principles, locations we should be in, location sizes, and team distribution.
Translate Intuit’s location strategy into business unit site plans. Partner with business units and functional leaders to develop site plans that accelerate their talent and business goals.
Drive headcount demand forecasting by location in close partnership with Workforce Planning, Finance, and our People teams.
Partner with Global Real Estate to align location strategy with real estate strategy and space planning, ensuring we have the right spaces at the right time to enable employees.
Build and execute the location strategy operating system by establishing the processes, metrics, decision rights, and operating mechanisms—enabled by scalable data and technology—that drive clarity, accountability, and decision velocity.
Qualifications
Strategic problem solving: Break down ambiguous location strategy questions, synthesize inputs, and drive crisp tradeoffs with strong business judgment.
Outcome ownership: Build pragmatic workplans, run complex workstreams end-to-end, and deliver measurable outcomes with speed and rigor.
Boundaryless leadership: Build executive trust, align stakeholders, and drive decisions to closure through clear written and verbal communication.
Operating-system builder: Design scalable operating mechanisms—cadences, forums, metrics, and governance—that enable repeatable execution.
Data-savvy & analytical storytelling: Build/interpret models, develop insights from data, and translate analysis into clear narratives and decision-ready recommendations.
Team-first leadership: Role model Intuit values, coach others, and elevate team effectiveness through collaboration and a learning mindset.
Relevant experience: Typically 8–12+ years in strategy/ops, site/workplace strategy, consulting, or similar enterprise, cross-functional roles.
