Senior Staff Product Manager - QuickBooks Capital Small Business Health
Company Overview
Intuit is the global financial technology platform that powers prosperity for the people and communities we serve. With approximately 100 million customers worldwide using products such as TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to prosper. We never stop working to find new, innovative ways to make that possible.
Job Overview
Intuit is a global technology platform company that helps our customers and communities overcome their most important financial challenges. We help give over 50 million consumers, small business, and self-employed customers around the world the opportunity to prosper.
The Mission
Small businesses fuel the global economy. In the US alone, they employ 60% of the workforce and create 80% of new jobs. Yet, the odds are stacked against them: one in two fails within five years. One of the most severe challenges a small business faces is managing their cash flow: balancing inflows and outflows, late customer payments, funding growth, and making payroll, all while hoping there is enough left over for profit or a rainy day. At QuickBooks, we aren’t just building software; we are increasing the survival rate of entrepreneurship globally.
The Opportunity
Most small business owners are flying blind, watching their bank balance and hoping it all adds up while they focus on the most important things - serving their customers. That comes at the expense of a clear view of their true business health and the levers they can pull to improve it. Aside from expensive financial advisors, there isn’t a clear place to turn.
Small Business Health is our answer to that. It’s a portfolio of insights, actions, and “done for you” experiences that give businesses a real-time picture of what’s working, what’s not, and what to do about it. The closest analogy is Credit Karma, but for small businesses: genuinely useful, deeply personalized, and compelling enough that people come back on their own.
This is also a growth platform. For existing QuickBooks customers, it creates a new reason to engage daily instead of quarterly. For businesses outside our ecosystem – the ones who aren’t shopping for software but do want to understand their finances – it opens a front door we’ve never had before. We earn the relationship by being useful first.
And yes, there’s a business model here. Quickbooks’ ecosystem of products exists to solve the pain points and onerous jobs holding businesses back from growth. Businesses who understand their borrowing power - and the actions to qualify for more or better rates - are likely to access funding from Quickbooks Capital. There are no shortage of ways to monetize, but our north star is delivering an exceptionally engaging experience that businesses return to for the value of the insights and actions alone.
We need a Senior Staff PM who has built something like this before: a consumer-grade insights product, at scale, that people actually use. A PM who deeply understands engagement loops and consumer growth product best practices. Someone who can own the vision, align the org, and stay close enough to the customer to know when the map needs to change.
Responsibilities
- Own the multi-year vision and strategy for Small Business Health – including what the product is, who it serves beyond our existing customer base, and how it creates durable value for QuickBooks.
- Define + drive the key metrics - engagement, retention, and the Quickbooks product attach rate.
- Build the front-door experience for net-new customer acquisition, partnering closely with product marketing and user acquisition. Launch a standalone product that earns trust with businesses who aren’t looking to buy software
- Deeply understand our customers - learn into the most compelling customer segments to serve through direct engagement with business owners of all stripes. Leverage research, quantitative, and qualitative data to build the foundation for this new product.
- Set the tempo for speed and experimentation - leveraging AI to accelerate analyses, rapid prototyping and experimentation, and cross-functional operations.
- Get the org aligned. This role touches QuickBooks, Capital, and platform teams. You’ll need to build real buy-in at the senior level to resource and scale a new product category.
Qualifications
Experience: 7+ years in Product Management, with meaningful time spent on consumer-facing or SMB products where engagement and retention were the core challenge. Fintech background a strong plus.
You’ve built something people came back to: Not just shipped features – you’ve designed the hook, the habit, the re-engagement loop, and have the cohort data to show it worked. Backgrounds in consumer apps, fintech, or data-driven health and wellness products are especially relevant.
Vision and strategy: You’ve owned a product vision at a business-unit level. You can define where to play, why it matters, and what it takes to win – and you know how to get leadership to bet on it.
Business impact accountability: You’ve been accountable for business outcomes, not just product metrics. You understand how an insights product creates value and how that value converts to revenue downstream.
Executive communication: You can explain a complex strategy to a C-suite audience in five minutes and get engineers excited about it in a sprint review. You’re equally comfortable at both altitudes.
Sharp with data: You know what to measure, where the drop-off is, and what to do about it. You use AI tools to move faster, not to replace your own judgment.
You make PMs better: You hold a high bar, you give real feedback, and people who work with you grow. That’s table stakes at this level.
Technical depth: You can go deep with engineering when it matters. CS or Engineering background a plus.
Why Join Us?
Impact at Scale: This product could become the financial compass for millions of small businesses – most of whom have never had anything like it. That’s not a small thing.
Build Something New: Greenfield product category, inside a platform with tens of millions of customers already on it. The infrastructure is there. The category isn’t built yet.
Culture: The bar is high, the customer impact is real, and the opportunity to innovate is at massive scale. And we have a good time while doing it.
